El hotel estaba bueno la recepcion no me gusto para nada. la comida me gusto mucho y los restaurants especializados excelentes, el unico inconveniente es que necesitábamos movernos en los carritos porque teníamos personas con limitaciones para caminar y había que esperar incluso hasta media hora, y el primer día casi perdemos la cena esperando el carrito Además no tiene muchas actividades para las familias con niños en las noches porque los shows casi siempre coinciden con las cenas. Hubo una feria de tacos magnífica nos encantó, por lo demás todo bien, la atención buena y la habitación también. No pudimos bañarnos en la playa está muy mala.

The property was very nice. The staff was friendly, but the smell was horrendous. You could smell it coming in your room, right outside your balcony. I don’t know if they have a seaweed problem, but it’s smell like rotten fish eggs all the time other than that the hotel property was nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ventus at Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort. We found the resort very clean and beautiful. The food was amazing and they had a lot of variety. We had butlers, Freddy and Ricardo, and they were great. They made our stay very memorable. The beach was not useable but the pools available were great.

Beautiful property. Staff was very friendly and willing to help with any questions. Butler proactively reached out to ensure we had everything we needed. All pools were lovely and plenty of chairs. Spa experience was amazing. Downside was the sargassum at the beach. Staff worked hard every day to clean it up.

This 5-star review is all thanks to the incredible staff at El Cid Ventus — especially Rena, a kind, beautiful, and hardworking waitress at Trattoria D’Gulio and Mercado de Dolores. Her warmth made us feel welcome every day. She, along with the cooks, hostesses, and bartenders, are the heart of this resort. While check-in was awkward and not welcoming (no tour, and a pricing issue vs. Expedia), and non-Platinum guests were treated as second-rate, the behind-the-scenes staff made up for it completely. Housekeeping (especially Lucy), gardeners, room service, cabana cleaners, and even the man who restocked our fridge were amazing. During a storm, we watched a small staff member and his team work tirelessly to collect umbrellas and cushions — all with determination and grace. At the Ventus pool, the bartender went above and beyond to create a non-alcoholic drink for my husband when mix was missing — even having someone run to get chocolate. That’s true service. The entertainment team put on a phenomenal 4th of July celebration — one of the best we’ve ever seen. BBQ, dancing, and joy from 5–11 PM — no fireworks needed, they represented the USA beautifully. The pools are clean and relaxing, though the beach isn’t swimmable. Don’t miss the $60 Mesoamerican Reef snorkeling tour — the best we’ve done from Cancun to Tulum. Thank you to every staff member who smiled and said hello. You made this trip unforgettable. The Dr went above and beyond she is amazing at her Job. Thank you ALL!

As a platinum member I would say this is one of the only hotel stay I did not enjoy. I called to complain to Expedia and the hotel but no resolution. I will not return. I brought my family of 8 on this trip.the room was older. The older part of property smelled like sewage, staff did not provide additional services for comfort. Could not reserve the restaurants on the resort. Spent too much money for a subpar experience.

Enjoyed the resort, but went I guess at the wrong time of year. The kelp smell was a lot to take in. Beach was completely unusable as a result .

Overall this was a nice property and it suited what we needed. The only bad thing I would say is that we were told that to dine at the non buffet hotels we needed to make reservations 2 days in advance at the most. We arrived on a Thursday and when we were told this we immediately to the concierge where we were told to make reservations for Saturday night and then tried Sunday. They told us that all restaurants were booked up until Tuesday. We left Monday morning. Only other thing is that there was no pool side service for drinks. And if there was we never saw them. Other than that it was a much needed vacation and we enjoyed our time to relax

The property offers access to three resort options, which provided extra choices for dining and activities. The new CID Ha resort is especially impressive, with beautiful landscaping and a modern look. However, our experience was affected by persistent hustling from check-in through the end of our stay, which delayed the start of our day. While many staff members were courteous and professional, there were a few among the reception, bell staff, and housekeeping who could have delivered better service. At times, the behavior felt inattentive—occasionally even discriminatory—which was disappointing, especially considering the long journey and investment guests make for a memorable vacation. The rooms could also use some upgrades. That said, the overall resort is lovely. Despite some shortcomings in service and courtesy, many staff members were genuinely warm and helpful, which we appreciated.
