Late checkout overcharge
The night before my check out I request a no charge late check out from 11am to move to 12pm as is on their website. Right after 11am the date of check out the housekeeper knock on my door and said check out was at 11am and that I will be charge a late check out fee and I explain to her I requested the night before and she said is not in her system so will be charge the fee. I went to front desk and the front desk lady about what happen and they did not care to remove my late fee. I will definitely will not stay in this hotel again.

Overall comfortable overnight stay for family
The staff was helpful and kind. The room was a nice size. It could use a bit of an update the tub is worn a bit. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I really liked the bedding as it was soft and cozy. The temp of the room was great too. Breakfast was decent although I’m not sure about breakfast tacos. There were other good choices.Easy walk to Ceasars Superdome and Smoothie King. Parking garage next door is only $20 overnight if you selfpark.

Great Value inNew Orleans
The Sonesta ES is a hotel intended for, but not limited to, extended stay. The spotless clean room was huge and had a full sized refrigerator, a stove with a range, and kitchen utensils. The beds were very nice. The location is great, two blocks from Canal Street. The streetcar stops across the street from the hotel (in both directions) and there is a bus stop in front of the hotel -- but one can easily walk to the delights of the French Quarter. Breakfast was provided and was good, cookies and flavored water is available in the afternoon. The only downside I found was the 'fridge tried to make ice cubes at 3 AM, but was not hooked up for it, and the bathroom fan was very loud.

Enjoyed our stay
I enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and clean on the 5th floor. Breakfast was fabulous. I was not wild about the $250 hold but that’s life, I guess. I would recommend this location.

Budget but close
Okey location, close to Canal street/Bourbon street. Trams and buses outside the hotel. We recommend Frenchman street much better unless you are 21 and just wanna drink and party. The food along Canal street is not great and overpriced, like most in tourist areas. The breakfast at Sonesta hotel was okey, a couple of veggies and it would be better. The bed was really good! No pressure in the shower unless you turned it all the way up to the hottest, burning! No housekeeping unless you stayed at least 7 nights, new towels where available at the front desk. Laundry room was 4 dollar per machine and wash.

Comfortable stay
The breakfast was good although when they ran out of eggs (both mornings) it took 15 minutes to get more. The beds were very comfortable but the furniture in the LR and dining area was not at all. They were quite accommodating to give us more towels and coffee packets. The dishwasher had dirty dishes in it when we put ours in to run on departure.

Great Location
I had the Jr suite and I wasn’t sure what to expect because photo don’t always tell the truth but once I open the door i was impressed . It was clean, cute and love the shower. Perfect for solo or a couple. I enjoyed the outside patio. The convenience of having the buses and street cars right out front for travel around downtown was also a plus. Great location and quiet at night. I would stay at this particular Sonesta again.

Never to stay there again
Hotel is not nice / needs lots of updates . Small holes in walls , trash in hallways , have to reserve to have your room cleaned 24 hours in advance - ne we told this at check in. They charge 52.00 for early check in!! Two hours early only. My room smelled . Don’t stay here

Nice location, easy walk to the French Quarter/Canal Street. Location feels a bit weird after dark but nothing happened to my party. Loved having a kitchenette (full size refrigerator, sink, microwave, and cooktop). Suite felt updated and worn out at the same time. I could definitely feel wear in the bed as though the matress was slanted and felt as though I'd roll off the edge of the mattress while sleeping. TV/cable has some connectivity issues but that was corrected after a visit to the front desk. Quiet at night and temperature control was good. I was pretty impressed with the free breakfast and the variety of offerings. Employees and desk staff were all quite nice.
