An excellent and comfortable stay experience

Very great experience and hospitable staff. I've stayed in lots of hotel / hostel, La Porta del Paradiso is by far my favourite, really clean, unique decoration, i love the living room, great value for money, awesome staff, I've met some really nice people passing through, i regularly recommend this place! Oops, btw, the breakfast and the snacks are free of charge and nice. I love it very much!

Nice stay

The stay was nice. The hotel was clean, warm water and nice personal. I travel with my sister and she got sick it was holiday and pharmacies were closed, and they were very nice and gave me a phone number to the doctor. As a tourist think this was very nice of them. Basic breakfast but nice and very comfortable the stayed. There is a laundry mat nearby

We only stayed 1 night to catch our flight in the morning but the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

We stayed one night. Sra. Tiziana was was very helpful about everything we asked. She held the luggage until the room was ready and held it for the day until we picked it up so did not have to drag it around. It is a 12 minute easy walk from the Firenze SMN train station. She was able to direct us to the most efficient public transportation when necessary. The room was clean and quiet. If you go in the summer, ask them to show how their AC units work. Morning breakfast was pleasant and typical continental. After you leave in the morning, you are able to return there without going through a front desk, just punch in the code. Recommended highly. We were traveling as a party of four and we all agreed.

This is a small boutique hotel. The woman who runs it is very knowledgeable, frendly and helpful. It look loke it was remodeled recently, so it is clean and comfortable. And she serves a nice breakfast.

Overall this property was fine and worked for what we needed. The self check in process was very smooth and very appreciated as we arrived much later in the evening. At first glance in the dark and dim light, the room was fine. But there was a very horrible stench coming from the bathroom. Since I'm pregnant I'm very sensitive to smells but even my husband thought it was quite awful. It lasted the whole evening and was still there when we left. I did note this in my feedback regarding the check in process and while we were out the next day they made up the bed and I think possibly dealt with the smell. It wasn't all gone but it was much more bearable. In the daylight I did notice what I had thought the night before was just vintage chips in the wall, was actually dirt on the walls, more so what appears to be blood and other such substances. We noticed some mosquitos in our room so I am assuming it was other people killing them on the walls. The breakfast provided in the morning was a great treat and much appreciated. The host was there helping make cappuccinos and was very lovely. There was yogurt, pastries, fruit, fruit juices, and a coffee machine. Overall I was happy with the location and space, just wish the bathroom and cleanliness wasn't what it was because it did dampen the experience.

Quaint and Friendly Stay in Florence

The hostess at this hotel was the best! She was so helpful and kind. The room was quaint and had a wood ceiling and wood beam, which gave it lots of character. We had a private bathroom that was down 5 steps which was a little tricky to use. It was an older bathroom and had a few small issues. The hotel was about 5-10 minute walk from the train station which made it really convenient for dropping off our luggage before exploring Florence. Our hostess provided a delicious breakfast for us.
