You get what you paid for :)
We arrived in Sri Lanka late at night (11:30pm) and stayed at this hotel because it was cheap. We only stay here for 1 night and left the next morning to Eliya. Here are my comments if you’re considering it: 1) Clean bedroom and toilet 2) Staff was attentive 3) Free airport pick-up despite it was late in the evening 4)

Pretty good and relaxed
The Sri lankan breakfast is great. Staff were friendly. Rooms could be noisy during day because of restaurant downstairs but quiet at night. Disappointed they charged for an airport transfer as the booking site should have been updated to remove free hotel transfer.

Not so pleasant experience in Negombo
Terrace Green is a nice little boutique hotel in a quiet location in Negombo. I stayed a night there and the room, service and food were all good. But unfortunately I had the unpleasant experience of having valuables stolen from my luggage during my transit from the US to Colombo. It is not clear where exactly the incident occurred. The driver who picked me at airport in Colombo (arranged by the hotel) asked to make a pitstop at check out an Ayurveda farm (even though i was tired after a long flight) where the owner insisted on touring the place and purchasing products. This was highly unusual. The hotel was responsive to my complaint and had CCTV footage available to review to confirm the theft didnt occur there. However the theft ultimately couldnt be traced leaving me with a bad experience. If traveling alone i would recommend staying in downtown Colombo area instead of Negombo.

What a property. They claim to be 4 star property but they far from that. We were at front lobby with the main door closed and lights off. There was a young boy who has no clue what to be done. Mosquitos in the night and flies in the morning. They held me and my pregnant wife at the lobby without switching on the light which I had to eventually ask them to do. There is no elevator.and it is not mentioned any where. It gets worse the room that we had to spend the night in was used smoke box which means there were people smoking in the room which I suspect is the manager. I also suspect that the manger was in that room sleeping. Me and my pregnant wife had to sleep and smoke smelling room with linens smelling of cigarettes and dirty stains. What are these standards for 4 star hotel.

Comfortable, clean but I was disturbed by noise.
The hotel is comfortable, clean and pretty well located with staff who were very responsive to a couple of minor issues. The main reasons I didn't give a higher rating is because of: * noise generated by some inconsiderate guests partying through the night which highlighted that the rooms are not very sound-proof * no pool nor anywhere really to relax outside your room (apart from the restaurant and reception).

スリランカ初日に1泊だけしました。 スタッフも親切で、お勧めのホテルです！ 部屋はとても清潔で快適でした。 シャワーの出もよく問題ありません。 ドライヤーもあります。 冷蔵庫もあり、中にはビールとコーラなどが入っていました（有料）。 一つだけ気になる点をあげるとすると、音が気になるかもしれません。 ホテル1階にレストランがあり、レストラン横の階段から上に行きます。 今回私は2階だったのですが、レストランの話し声や食器音などが響きました。 音に敏感な方は、2階の部屋は避けたほうがいいかもしれません。

空港送迎をお願いしたら、18年日本に在住していたという日本語堪能なスタッフの方が対応してくれて非常に安心しました。他のスタッフの皆さんも非常に親切で気を配れる方が多く、翌日キャンディーへ行く予定だったので行き方を聞いたら丁寧に教えてくれました。一晩の滞在でしたが、非常に満足でした！

Zimmer war bereit und trotzdem hätten wir für 2h einen Aufpreis zahlen müssen. Auskunft Rezeption ungenügend. Es stehen teilweise x Angestellte rum ohne das etwas gemacht wird. Haben sehr lange auf unsere Getränke gewartet (als Entschuldigung gab es ein gratis Eis). Bereits um 6 Uhr sehr lauter Lärm aus der Küche (Besteck wegräumen könnte man auch am Abend oder allenfalls ab 8 Uhr einräumen). Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt in Ordnung. Für die Bewertung hätte ich aber definitiv mehr erwartet (auch beim Essen - Preise im Verhältnis hoch und Qualität mässig).
