low end motel with a dock

This was a low end motel with a dock. The mattresses were old, thin, cheap, and the metal springs made for a terrible night's sleep. I would have shared this with them at check out but they didn't ask how my stay was.

Would not Recommend

We we found to location of the property to be excellent and the staff were very hospitable and helpful. The accommodations though left a lot to be desired. The room was dated, worn, dirty, and moldy The sheets were pilled and rough. The smell of the mold was obnoxious and the hepa air filter did not work. The boards on the dock need replacing as the wood is splintered and dangerous to walk on bare footed. Also, aside from an independant food truck parked outside, there was no place to eat. I would not recommend this hotel.

The bed was very comfortable. The towels were great quality. The lobby was horrible and lacking any kind of warmth. The view was great. There were no tissues in the room. And no shampoo. The place is very rundown and needs updating and an overhaul. Staff is not very welcoming.

Great location to nearby sites and relaxing vibe

The owners are doing a good job in giving the place a facelift. We used the free access to a Kayak and enjoyed some time around the pool.

Do yourself a favour, don't stay here!

Did an online remote check in as the reception is only open until 6pm, was sent a door code by text but it didn’t work, had to phone the emergency out of hours number to get the correct code. It was down hill from there… This place is in desperate need of some TLC to put it mildly. There was a very unpleasant toilet like smell on entering. The bathroom was really bad, rusty door hinges, filthy & stained door. Bath has a badly done repair job Sink has a crack in it. Dirty broken bathroom cupboards falling apart. No plugs for bath or sink. Shabby curtains, paper peeling off the walls. Furniture scratched & marked. Springs are gone in the bed much too soft & noisy to get a decent nights sleep. The whole place very tired & rundown. Very noisy aircon, had to turn it off. TV was intermittent, had to fix loose connections. Very disappointed in our stay here. Just don’t bother wasting your money on this appalling motel.

Older hotel, but had a great stay!

This hotel is not perfect. It is older and has some chipped tiles, sagging shelves and other signs of age. BUT it is very clean, the bed was amazing, bedding was super clean and bright white. My room had a fridge and a little kitchenette, perfect to store my drinks and snacks. The staff was really nice, check-in was all automatic online so that was a breeze and I haven't even gotten to the best part yet! The view! I had a waterfront room and it was so nice! We woke up and opened the back slider door... we were 10 feet from the water, the sun was coming up, pelicans were grooming 20 feet away, the salt air and warm breeze was so nice. We made a couple coffees with the Kourig and sat out back enjoying the sunrise. And the price was really good for a Keys hotel. I will definitely stay here again when I visit the Keys. If you stay here, don't tell anyone, let's keep it our secret, lol!
They even have a fun little pool!

If your a fishermen it’s fine not for a couples get away. No private beach , strong sulfur smell and 2 seats at pool. Manager was nice and gave us a refund
