Nice modern hotel , our view out towards Central London was pretty impressive.
Be aware the hotel does have a fence round the outside due to the ongoing protests at the hotel opposite but this no fault of the hotel.
Staff friendly enough but not particularly engaging. No asking the purpose of our trip or any upsell attempts on check in for dinner or breakfast.
Didn’t sleep very well with water heard running through a pipe multiple times in the night.
Went to make tea in the morning, to discover the milk left in the tea tray had best before dates of May 25 and August 25 , called down, no apology but assured more would be sent up. 20 minutes later we were delivered more but again it still had the same dates on !
Called down again , apology this time and was promised more would be sent again but no luck after 20 minutes. I had to go down myself to chase up and fresh milk was eventually delivered. Not the best start to the morning and not a good lasting impression !
Again no feedback sought on check out , just took the keys off of us.
Also came back for a drink before we departed , disappointing to hear who we assume the head bartender say to the other ‘don’t make me angry again’. Unsure why the comment was made but I wouldn’t expect any staff member to be spoken to like that.
In summary an ok stay but needs to be better when the price tag is £200+ per night.
