Retro Motel Experience. Liked the convenience of a retro motel with restaurant - ideal for overnight stay during long road trip. No glamour, no splendour, no gorgeous landscaping; but helpful staff and a clean room.

The unit was worn and in need of refurbishments. Bed was comfortable with a great view but the room was stuffy and hot with only 2 small high windows and a smaller fan to provide airflow. The drive way was rough with tight windy bends. Would I stay there again...no.

This was a very pleasant place to stay! Very convenient with its Restaurant and breakfast available. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The only tricky bit was the bathroom. A very tiny handbasin which was very difficult to use without getting water all over the floor and the shower regulator was awkward because it was very old and when turning it the labels didn’t match the heat and cold! Had to be very careful.

Went to tangi at local marae so we were sort of last minute. My grandchildren enjoyed the space and their wifi connection was good enough to keep them all amused. This is will continue to be our 'go to' place when we come to Te Kuiti.

The staff were excellent, thank you so much. We loved that we had the whole block to ourselves. A book on the hotels amenties, the restaurant and nearby activities would of been handy, there was nothing in the room. TeKuiti is a really quiet town, we drive up and down the streets looking for the night life. Expedia can you please update your records alongside the motel please, the pool was not in use and staff are only in the office from 3-10pm. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay.

Found the property in real need of an update. The rooms were OK but Our bed had a dead fly under the covers. Shower had water leaking out of the shower head. I am sure this place once was a great place but really needs some attention.

Besides the tall trees growing in front of our unit, we had good surrounding views. The unit itself was top notch, cozy, clean and tidy. I especially loved the wall units above each bedside drawer! So so convenient! The downside - double bed was two king singles pushed together which had an uncomfortable “dip” in the middle. The driveway up to our unit was steep (ok) but had loose shingle and uneven and needed abit of tlc. Otherwise, great place to stay and would stay again.

It was old but ok, room stank and needed airing, i didnt expect flash. Bed was comfortable. Clean shower and toilet for an older place. Road in and around the property very steep and made harder cause the road falling apart, hope i dont get flat tyres from pot holes in driveway. Check in ok, but i feel the staff were not very friendly or very helpful.
