I enjoyed my time there for the most part. Mainly because it's like a piece of home for me in a far away land. However, there were times where staff made me uncomfortable. The amount of stares and second looks just made me uneasy as a black female.

No advance notice of property ban on taking alcohol to rooms. A ridiculous policy. Also one week later I am still waiting for the 'extras' charged on check-in to be refunded, as no extras were purchased.

Do not leave your car to valet service,they lost our car key and we waited 45 minutes until they found it . Because of this we missed our plane . No apologies from the hotel staff as if this was something usual for them

Sheraton Grand Samsun is a very nice hotel, has a great location with a nice view, but house keeping was poor with bad service, bathroom was not clean enough when I check in, and second day they take dirty cups and not bring back, no refill tea and water.
