Beautiful hotel

Absolutely zero negative comments. Food was incredible, buffet and a la carte restaurants. Pool area was great. Beach was great. Service in all areas of the hotel was off the scale friendly. Spa treatments and staff… EVERYTHING was fantastic. Don’t hesitate to book here.

OK, but no Wow factor.

Nothing bad about the Sugar Bay, but nothing Wow either. Serving staff were very good and friendly, front desk less so. Hotel now somewhat dated. All inclusive decent, although Sizzle Steakhouse a fairly predictable steakhouse. Rum cocktails good, wine list disappointing. Overall a pleasant stay, but won’t be returning as we have been to better.

One of the best resorts I have EVER stayed on! The food was so fresh and delicious, different options everyday. I didn’t even dine at the restaurants as intended because the buffets were SO GOOD! The drinks were spot on every time, delicious and generous with alcohol. I have never been around such friendly staff from start to finish. Everyone greeted you warmly and had a smile. The leadership at Sugar Bay must be doing something right because staff seem happy and it makes for a quality experience. I rarely feel like I’d want to return to the same place but I would 100% return to Sugar Bay! Amazing!!!

The people here are amazing - so attentive, kind, and thoughtful. I couldn't say nicer things about the staff and the people of Barbados in general. The food here is really good as well, even the buffet. There were shockingly few things we didn't love. I do wish there were more options, but all and all, pretty happy. The entertainment was fun as well. Love the beach. My only complaint would be the rooms, which definitely are in need of a little updating. The shower setup means that the floor is soaked in water at all times, the bed is a bit uncomfortable and the hot water went out for a few hours. The building with the gym also needs some fixing and updating. But this is a beautiful location and any imperfections are worth overlooking!

Sugar Bay Barbados is a ver new ce, intimate place to stay. The service and team members were exceptional, professional, friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing. There was s a hidden gem in walking distance to see if you like horses and traveling with children. You are able to ride and interact with the horses. A group us stayed there for a wedding, beautiful views and scenic back grounds. I highly recommend Sugar Bay Barbados.

Staff goes above and beyond, especially Kimberly who made my day every time I saw he r. We thought the food was delicious, always a wide variety at every meal. We did Sizzle Steakhouse one night Avocado toast was delicious as were the buffalo wings. I paid the surcharge to have the Angus ribeye and was disappointed how fatty it was but it was cooked perfection and I enjoyed it. Beach is small but the staff is helpful to move them where you want and plant umbrellas for you. Pool did not have enough chairs for guests and it was about impossible to find one that wasn't saved even though you wouldn't see people using it for hours. The rooms were surprisingly tiny and not sure who designed the lighting in there but you can't turn the lights on in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom without Illuminating the entire room. Also probably the biggest complaint would be how hot the room was and you couldn't adjust the air conditioning it was uncomfortably warm in there to sleep. Small resort, quaint, worth the money since we found it very affordable .. just could use updating.

The place and the people here are amazing. Very nice quality food and all inclusive means all inclusive. There are 2 restaurants as well as the buffet and all are excellent. If there is a downside its the immediate beach is swamped with seaweed but you can walk 5 -10 mins to pebble beach which is amazing and has very little seaweed and beauticul blus waters
