Stunning resort but difficult to get around. The mini-buses aren’t great - don’t know why they don’t use buggies. Staff try their best but it’s just not what you’d expect for the price-point. Food was not great but food in St Lucia is generally average. Wouldn’t stay here again

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Food very good and varied dining options. Super ambience. Only downside is no sunbeds ever available at the pool in spite of notice saying reserving sunbeds not allowed. Many were empty all day with no one using them even after putting towels on them. Policy should be enforced.

A great trip at a great resort!!
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing with a wide variety for vegetarians. The beach that the hotel is located on is beautiful, the water is so blue and clear. Overall an excellent stay, we would highly recommend Sugar Bay.

Beliggenheden er helt perfekt. Udsigten er unik. Personalet meget imødekommende og maden er god, også i buffet. Her er smukt og flot design samt gode møbler og komfort. Det eneste jeg kan sætte en finger på, er at du skal stå meget tidlig op for at få en liggestol, da man her gerne bare må smide sine håndklæder om morgenen og så først bruge din liggestol senere på dagen. Der burde være en regel om, at dine håndklæder blev fjernet hvis du lavede dette nummer, for dem som rent faktisk gerne vil ligge der fra morgenen af, har ikke muligheden, da de alle er optaget af ‘håndklæder’.

The food and drinks were incredible. Excellent location and great beach. Not quite an all inclusive as you're limited to one visit to the sushi restaurant and one visit to the steakhouse. The furniture in the rooms could definitely use an upgrade. Most is particle board with water damage. Overall it was a good place and nice stay.

All inclusive resort on the water
This was our second trip to Sugar Bay. We were there 8 years ago and stayed in a suite facing the ocean which was beautiful. This time we chose a smaller room. It was in need of renovations with doors sticking and not closing well and bathroom tile in disrepair. The food was pretty good, though, much of the same buffet for the week. You do have a choice of 2 other restaurants for one night each on a week stay. This gave us a nice variety of meals. The music and show were excellent. Staff were very nice. Everything included made it easy to not carry money.

We just had the most perfect stay here. The hotel is situated on the beach, with plenty of sun beds and parasols. The food and drinks are really good, with plenty of choice. The staff and service exceptional. We will stay again next year.

Everything about our weeklong all-inclusive stay at Sugar Bay was more then we anticipated, just like a cruise except you have more time to get to know the island. Head and shoulders above every aspect was the staff. We have been on 2 cruises and certain staff members stand out from the rest, however, just about every member of the staff we met was friendly, personable, and a pleasure to spend time with, from desk clerks, to wait staff, and housekeepers to security, top notch people who go over and above to ensure you have a memorable vacation.

Sugar bay was a beautiful resort. And the front desk staff and wait staff, and housekeeping were excellent. So friendly, welcoming and helpful. They made us feel like family. I would say one negative is the activities. I think it needs to be better organized and I would appreciate more options. For example, I went to the water sports area for “reef snorkeling as was listed in their activity schedule and the guys there handed me snorkel gear and pointed where to go. I was scared of going in the water and too far, but no one guided me or went out with me for this activity which I expected would be a guided activity.
