Quirky hotel badly in need of an update. WiFi and TV are awful, only one outlet near the beds.The staff weren't rude, just not very friendly. Great location though

Pittsburghers in Ireland 2025

Parking was a bit difficult due to an event going on that evening but we prevailed, the Hotel was older but in Great Condition, the rooms were fantastic. Staff were accommodating and the Pub was open late

Trivsamt boende i centrala Kilkenny. Om man är lättstyrd kan gatans ljud störa. Några av rummen störs av ljud och musik från puben. God frukost.

Un hôtel sans grand charme mais bien situé

Un hôtel au design des années 80 - 90, sans trop de charme pour les chambres. Hôtel idéalement situé par rapport à la gare de train ou l arrêt des bus Intercités et au château, au centre ville. Le pub et restaurant beaucoup plus chaleureux que les chambres.

Excellent Location

Comfortable room. Excellent parking and walkable to attractions, shopping and restaurants. Onsite restaurant was good for a fast meal. The only problem is that there is some music from the bar down below the rooms and noise from people in the hall. This wasn't a huge deal for us because we were tired and slept through most of it. Wouldn't be great if you were a light sleeper and wanted an early night.

Wonderful stay in Kilkenny

Great location and wonderful staff. Was traveling with my niece who has a gluten allergy. They were able to accommodate for her.

Decent but not Memorable

Lots of good food options in the adjoining restaurant and bar. The room was OK. Bathroom lighting was poor; few towels. It needs a refurbishment. Bed was a single, and it was OK. Check-in staff were friendly. Had onsite parking which is important, but suggest the back gate be used as the front is dangerously narrow.

Family trip

Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was outstanding and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed Kilkenny and we will certainly stay at the Kilford Arms again! Everything was excellent!

Clean comfy but warm

Really good. Very comfy bed and clean. Main issue is there is a heat wave and no AC. Not a huge issue since it’s abnormally hot

Staff are very pleasant and helpful and the beds are comfy. Property is old and needs an upgrade. Rooms are not super clean and they are hot and stuffy. WiFi is terrible.
