Not a good choice
For a hostel, the noisy room and simple breakfast was ok for me. The staff smoke in the lobby very often. The filter for drinking water was became moldy without renew. The most important point I concerned is honesty, I told the staff I am extending the stay online, the guy asked me to stop the process because they fully booked, do not trust the availability online. I am fine with that. After 15 minutes, the same guy told me someone has cancel their reservation, I can rebook their room online. Then I saw the price on Hotels.com was double, and the availability didn't changed. I asked the guy did you increased the price? How come the price been double since I told you I wanna extend my stay. He answered me yes, I have to accept the double price for the same room if I want to stay more nights. Of course I won't. No more words for them. Just be careful their tricks if you wanna stay here.

There was nothing to like about this property. From the moment we enter the property, it was pitch dark, room door was not lockable, room was cramped with maximum beds so literally no space to walk or keep ur luggage. Elecrical outlets were all broken so can't charge ur devices. washrooms were out in the hallway, not at all suitable for family or with kids, no privacy as such. Someone was always laying on the couch opposite the room doorway and washroom. Elevator is broken most of the time so u need to climb 4 floors. Ppl just try to give u helping hand and if unknowingly u don't stop they will ask for money to offer the help thereafter. Breakfast was 1 boiled egg, and super soft white bread, if u try to spread butter or jam, it all breaks in pieces. There is a small table beside the room door, suitable for 2 ppl, where 5 of us need to stand and eat that lousy breakfast. The only good thing abt the property is good wifi signal. They say free parking but i doubt there is any as the property entrance is right on the busy road, luckily we went there by cab. There is no sign board of the property, just a listing on the small noticeboard on the entrance between shops. Very difficult to find if u are a visitor.

It's calm and people there are more than kind. As well as being in the heart of the city of Cairo with less than five-minute walk to Tahrir Square and metro station.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix
Très bon rapport qualité/prix, très bien situé, staff arrangeant. L'hotel est situé en plein milieu du Caire, ce qui est très pratique mais attention aux personnes sensibles au bruit la nuit. Le Caire étant une ville très bruyante, il faut toujours choisir entre bon emplacement ou calme. Pour nous, cela n'a pas été un problème. Merci à l'employé qui nous a accueillit et emmené à l'aéroport en pleine nuit pour notre départ.

Komfortables Hostel mit Charme
Charmantes, Familien-gefuehrtes Hostel in Downtown, mit perfekter Verkehrsanbindung, sauber, sicher, sehr zuvorkommend, und durchaus eins der besten Hostels, wenn man sich darauf einlaesst. Das Gebaeude erzaehlt seine eigene Geschichte, ueber die es uebrigens auch einen Roman gibt. The Yaboubian Building. Weiss man soetwas zu schaetzen, dann stoeren einen die shared bathrooms oder das spaerliche Fruehstueck nicht. Treiben lassen, darauf einlassen und geniessen. Das perfekte Hostel fuer einen guenstigen und komfortablen Aufenthalt in dieser wunderschoenen Stadt.

The service is very friendly. We had a double room a front of the Rezeption but we couldn't hear anything from there. The main street is little bit loud but that's not from the hotel :)

Localização, quarto e atendimento excelentes.
Possui uma ótima localização. Um local limpo, quarto grande, bem equipado com ótimo ar-condicionado. Único porém é o prédio muito antigo com elevador precário. Ótimo atendimento, pessoal muito pretastativo.

AVOID this place! STAY AWAY! They are a joke!
Avoid this place like the plague. We booked 3 months in advance yet on arrival we were met by one guy asleep on the floor behind the checkin counter(hard to tell if it was actually a checkin counter given the state of it) and another man who matter or factly told us they had no rooms. Annoyed, I demanded our money back. They then said they had somewhere to stay "only 5 minutes walk away". As an experienced traveller this smelt fishy if you know what I mean. Something wasn't right so again I demanded my money back. They finally agreed but tried to refund me in Egyptian pounds at a lower rate than was available. After much arguing finally they refunded our money appropriately. Not in all my years of travelling have I dealt with such a poorly managed hostel. Please fellow travellers, stay away from this hostel.

Great place for budget traveling
We had an excellent stay here. It is nothing fancy, however it was definitely clean and the employees were beyond friendly. The drivers they got for us were great! If you're looking to travel Cairo on a budget and be near the action, stay here!

Mala limpieza
El hotel tenía malo el aire acondicionado, por tal motivo nos trasladaron a un hotel en el piso de abajo. El hotel era viejo, bien hubo caso en el centro cerca del museo del Cairo, pero la limpieza tanto del baño como de las habitaciones, sabanas sucias, dejaba mucho que desear, el desayuno era malo, el personal muy simpáticos, pero como la habitación que nos asignaron quedaba al lado de la recepción se escuchaba ruido todo el día, lo q dificultaba dormir.

まあ、普通
スタッフはとても紳士的で、ツアーをしつこく勧めることも無い。 部屋はシングルを予約していたがトリプルに案内された。 独り占めは良かったが、ベッド以外のスペースはほとんどなく、逆に狭い感じ。 部屋は禁煙でスタッフにも念を押されたが、肝心のオーケーが共有スペースで吸っているので臭いが部屋まで届いて不快だった。 建物はカイロの同等のホテル並みに古く、写真はあまり当てにならない。 悪く言うつもりはないが、以前泊まったもっと安いホテルの方がかえって良かった。 割引価格でなければ泊まらないだろう。

Good price for the Centre of Cairo
Good location within walking distance of Egyptian museum. Hassle free airport pick up and drop off. Close to MacDonalds and KFC if Egyptian food is not to your taste.

Good basic hotel with helpful staff
Very helpful non-pushy staff (a rarity in Cairo). They can arrange trips/private drivers for you if required at budget rates. The airport rate is particularly good. Basic white bread and cheese breakfast with coffee/tea which fits the inexpensive price of the hotel. Shared bathrooms are clean and not many rooms to share them so there were no line-ups when we went. Great Air Con. No TV which was no problem for us. All of Cairo is noisy but Talaat Harb is a particularly noisy street - if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs. This place is very difficult to find independently - best to get specific directions from the staff as the signage from the street is small and almost nobody in the neighbourhood knows the place. Nice little juice stand right out front of the hotel with freshed squeezed OJ for 5 Egyptian Pounds. Sweets shop just up the street. Close to subway which is a convenient and inexpensive way to explore the city. We enjoyed our stay here due to the sale price, location, and staff.
