A good experience
The location is quite near to the Stratford town centre, I can shop easily. The staff is nice, always ready to help. The room is relatively small, but comfortable and clean. I would recommend this hotel.

Never got to stay here. Front desk said they don’t have my reservation even tho I paid for it. The lady was extremely rude with an attitude also. After being on a plane for 7 hours, all I wanted to do was rest. I should’ve listened to the other reviews that said they don’t honor their reservations. It’s completely true.

Booked a room on New Years Eve through Expedia but on arrival the receptionist told us that there was no booking because they no longer worked with Expedia. They did not help us and just told us that they had no rooms left. We spent the next 2 hours on New Years Eve in their lobby trying to find a room somewhere else, there were happy to ignore us and offered no help. On leaving we saw another couple who had exactly the same problem and the receptionist just turns them away on New Years Eve similar to us. Be very careful booking here

Failed to honour bookings - avoid!
How about honouring the bookings that were made a year ago, but they decided to ignore after allegedly taking over the hotel. Even though the signage was still all OYO Ellipse, they claimed not to be, and to have no dealings with Hotels.com leaving us without a room or any support. Absolutely disgusted!

Bed Bugs
As per other reviews about this hotel there are bed bugs in the room, I am covered in painful bites following my stay (photographs provided to hotels.com). Some other issues with the stay regarding noise; loud music being played until the early hours and the door alarms going off every time the doors do not shut properly (which is almost every time a door closes) however was willing to overlook these issues but unfortunately the bed bugs and bites are very concerning so I feel I have to leave this review as I wouldn’t want any other travellers staying in this hotel to suffer.

Probably better mid week
Lift not working and room on third floor. Ceiling damp stained and peeling. Bedding made me itch. Not enough pillows. Bathroom small. Room entered by other guests by mistake at 2am. Not really worth over £200 for the night. Complimentary breakfast, sort of made up for disturbed night.

I like the style of hotel. The rooms are abit dated. My room had a huge hand print and quite a few stains on the wall I tried to clean myself. Walls need to be repainted. Stains on the carpet also. Holes in furniture too. Sheets/duvets were very thin considering its very cold but I guess you get what you pay for :) I would stay again if those issues I mentioned were rectified. Owner and receptionist were lovely. I can imagine when it first opened it was lovely! Just needs to be updated.

BED BUGS!!
Staff nice enough but I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you want to end up covered in bed bug bites like I have. Currently in the process of requesting a full refund.

Do Not Go to this Hotel.
Very Rude receptionist. Started arguing with me about Photo ID and threatened to not allow me in. Tried to over charge by more than double for a 1 hour earlier check in. Put us on the top floor and hotel had no lift. The shower was broken, there was one pillow and one towel for two of us. Very noisy. Overall the worst hotel, I have stayed in, that includes all hostels I have been in.

Not clean and noisy room
the room we stayed in was not clean and was next to what sounded that a generator so was extremely loud and noisy all night which meant not sleep for 2days. The shower did not work very well and it took me 15 minutes to have a shower when normally takes 4 minutes. The tiles in the bathroom were not cleaned as I could see what I think was blood on them and the carpets were dirty
