The location and sunsets were excellent! The room was clean and nicely decorated. The mattresses and pillows could be better. Overall, sleeping wasn’t great. There is no better view of the salt marshes than the screen porch at our room.

It’s the place to be!
Excellent place to stay. The staff was amazing and super helpful. The only thing that was not outstanding was the bed. It’s due to be replaced. Other than that it was perfect!

Fantastic!
We had such a nice stay at Regatta Inn! The atmosphere was very familiar and welcoming, the room was clean and nice. Service was so good, personal and generous! We enjoyed a beautiful sunset together with other guests on the terrace and later we could just grab a bike and go for dinner somewhere close by. In the morning we just used the bike to the other side of the island to view the sunrise before we enjoyed a homemade, really tasty breakfast! We just loved staying at Regatta Inn! The most personal and beautiful place to stay at!

Staycation from a Local perspective
We recently stayed at The Regatta Inn and had a mixed experience that I'd like to share. Upon checking in, we were greeted with a warm, friendly welcome, which set a positive tone for our visit. However, we quickly learned that the room we had booked was flooded the day before. The staff was in the process of removing humidifiers from the property due to the incident and offered us a switch to a different, smaller room. While this new room had a lovely river view, we had originally booked one with a garden view, which was a bit disappointing. Despite the initial hiccup, the location of the inn was fantastic. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and were thrilled to spot dolphins swimming just ten minutes after unpacking our bags. The serene atmosphere made for a relaxing getaway, and the beautiful sunsets were a highlight of our stay. One aspect we were particularly looking forward to was the garden tub, but unfortunately, it was not operational during our visit. This was a letdown, as we had anticipated using it for a romantic evening. On a positive note, the bedrooms were clean and well-appointed with amazing sheets, blankets, and cozy bathrobes. However, be aware that there is a $30 amenities charge, which felt a bit steep given the circumstances surrounding our stay. Breakfast was enjoyable, and the peaceful environment really added to our overall experience. While we were happy with our choice and appreciated the friendly

Needed getaway
My wife and I came down to Folly Beach from Michigan for the week. Everything was phenomenal with our stay and Sean was amazing. However i do want to point out a guy i witnessed speaking with Sean. From their conversation i guess he was either the owner of Regatta Inn or Sean's manager. I did not appreciate the disrespectful way he spoke to Sean. He was arrogant, demeaning in the way he talked to Sean. For that reason alone my wife and I will not be back. If this gentleman was the owner i dont want one penny of mine in his pocket. We had a great stay otherwise unfortunately next year when we come down we'll be staying elsewhere.

The Regatta Inn was in a great location. It’s a two minute bike ride to the beach, but in a quiet section overlooking the bay. The screened in patio off of our room overlooked the bay and made for a peaceful place to have coffee in the mornings. The staff was beyond helpful, kind and courteous! The long haired brunette manager had many helpful suggestions on restaurants and things to do. She made our trip there worth it.
