Historical Stay
The hotel is celebrating its 100 anniversary this year and if you like historical sites, you will enjoy your stay. The breakfast is also included in your stay and it was good, also. Right on the beach too! We will stay there again. My only negative was that our room was right over the courtyard that had a wedding celebration. I doubt other rooms could hear the crowd as well as we did.

Ask if there's a wedding going on
This was possibly one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever experienced. They try and coexist large loud weddings with hotel non-wedding hotel guests all within the very small same proximity. Our first room was right next to the courtyard with the DJ speakers about 40 feet away. The common answer was "there's a wedding going on, sir. Which is fine, but don't try and double dip the lucrative weddings with normal hotel guests. Do a better job compartmentalizing the 2. The wedding bartender was actually breaking down her wedding glasses/bar/plates etc right outside our door at 10 PM. I open the door to simply ask her to be mindful that there are no wedding guests here as well. She said I was being rude, which I find very ironic!

Historic and Homeless
Located right on the beach in Jacksonville. No parking on property—had to park across the street without security or liability. Lots of homelessness on the beach and around the public parking lot right next door to hotel. There was a wedding party there for two of the days and the noise above us wasn’t awful—except at 2am and 3:37 am when there was a loud crash and disturbance. The staff was very accommodating and gracious as it is NOT AN ADA PROPERTY (it’s old and historic) but they let my 100% DAV use the service elevator so we could enjoy the rooftop restaurant. We loved the view and the food and the staff was phenomenal (free REAL BREAKFAST) Just didn’t enjoy the homeless population we had to walk through and around at every corner and juncture.

Great location…TERRIBLE Hotel Rooms
Pros: Beach front, great location and courteous staff. Cons: Old hotel that is not well maintained. Room furniture are slightly broken and needs replacement. Low water pressure for the bathroom shower and water temperature does not get hot. Overall: Disappointed..Very uncomfortable room for romantic couple getaway trip.

It’s an Events Hotel
Casa Marina self-identifies as an events driven hotel. It is. We had to leave the night of our check-in due to a wedding and music that basically made any room activity impossible. That said, staff was apologetic and understanding. Probably super for events, not do much for just staying at Jax Beach.
