The bed was short so even my feet hung off the end. Even worse for my husband. The covers did not reach our shoulders, but if you are up to 5 feet tall you will be fine. The bed and pillows were comfortable otherwise. The shower was very nice, large with a lovely glass enclosure.
We only have hotel breakfasts in countries where we do not have the option of purchasing a room without breakfast. That has always been the case in Italy, but perhaps not through hotels.com.
Shame on me that I did not verify at the front desk at check in. But they reception failed to quote the breakfast, so we did take breakfast in the hotel. The eggs were overcooked, the cold selection was poor, the coffee was terrible, which never happens in Italy, and the bread was stale. Then at check out I had the pleasure to find out that we were to be charged 20 euros each. Had the breakfast been a good one I would have chalked it up to my mistake, but the poor quality made it offensive. I complained, but reception shrugged it off without apology for the poor food.
