Short and enjoyable vacation in SXM

My son and I had a fantastic stay at Baker's Suite. It felt like a home away from home. I particularly loved where there was a small clean kitchenette with pots, plates, cups and cutlery for cooking dishes. The most important was the exemplary customer service received from receptionist Latoya! This place is a stroll from a nice cafe for breakfast opposite Buccaneers' restaurant and there is Green House Restaurant. What would have made this stay undisputedly the best would be a working elevator, as it was a bit exhaustive to climb two flights of stairs every time multiple times per day. Once that is up and running then everything would be perfect for future traveler's stay.

Walking distance!!

They need to improve the bed comfort and repair the elevator. This the only thing, all other was so great!! Many bar's and restaurants walking distance. The beach is just in front, a few steps from the property. The staff was so great!!

quaint and affordable

It was ok...Latoya and Cristena made it memorable for me. Latoya is bubbly and a joy to be around. Cristena is friendly and made my birthday stay lovely.

Came back to this pleasant surprise. bedroom was decorated and no cost was attached.

Good Value!

Baker’s Suites offers a good value for the price. Shanay and LaToya provided great customer service at the front desk. Ms. Christena was super friendly and did an excellent job keeping our room neat and clean! Our room was welcoming and had the essentials to make our stay an awesome one. I highly recommend selecting the breakfast package! The breakfast provided was delicious.

This is a great place to stay in Simpson Bay. My wife and I really appreciated the overall homey feel. Lataya and Shanay were very helpful and explained everything clearly. The check-in process was easy and felt very welcoming.

I went there for work, and I want to be calm after work and not have too much commotion. I benefited a lot from this. From the moment I checked in at the desk, I was warmly welcomed by two ladies, whose names I am not great at remembering, but I received explanations about everything I wanted to know, and they were super cheerful and present throughout my stay. If you want to know their names, I will look it up in my notes. You can't miss them. Then there’s Christena, who chats with you in the morning—so positive—and Joycelyn is the same. They ask every day if everything is fine and clean, and if they can clean at certain times. Everything was well organized for me by the four ladies. If I ever return to SXM, I will definitely make a reservation there. Thank you all four for your warm service.

My choice in choosing a property comes down to the location. Is it walkable to dining and sites, what other reviewers are currently saying about the property and is it locally owned. I chose Baker’s Suites over all the other hotels in the area for simply those reasons. My front desk ladies, Ms. Latoya you were AWESOME our entire time there and you represent Baker’s Suites on another level. Ms. Shanay, your kindness towards each and every guest was nothing short of impeccable customer service. We stayed in the partial oceanview room with King bed and the room did not disappoint. Restaurants in short walking distance of the hotel, beach right across the street which I enjoyed the clear calm waters every single morning of my trip(no crowds).
