It's a good place to old town, and it is good value, large rooms, good bathroom, BUT terrible wifi and TERRIBLE BED. It's right next to the shopping plaza, short walking from the NW corner of the old city. We stayed about 3 nights. Someone told us on the last day that there is an amazing pool but, like the rest of the hotel, was hidden away. BTW, It have a odd location, there is a big shopping plaza there. We walked up and down, asked people, phoned the hotel, put a local person on to the phone for clearer directions. Finally, about an hour and half later, after much walking a security guard for another large hotel nearby actually took us to the lift to the Baan Kin Di. This hotel is tucked away behind the plaza and accessed from the carpark. The sign out the front was in Thai script. It's a huge hotel designed for conferences and seminars I would assume. About a 100 metre walk from the lift to the reception desk. Most tourists in there seemed to be amazed to find themselves in this very different place. Some likened it to KGB secret headquarters or finding themselves on a set of Get Smart as you would never know from the road where it is.
