The hotel and gardens are gorgeous.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well furnished, and have a large balcony.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The two swimming pools are lovely but they are very very busy. Despite have over 100 sun loungers you had almost no chance of getting one in the morning after 9am as other guests got there very early and stayed there all day. Many loungers were “reserved” for hours with towels etc despite signs saying you were not allowed to do so.
The breakfast is good but again a similar issue with the crowds in trying to get an outdoor table after 8am.
The location is excellent. It is very easy to walk to markets, cafes, restaurants, and the beach is just across the road.
We have stayed here several times in the past and it is a fabulous hotel but unfortunately it is too popular with Australian tourists who return to this hotel year after year.
If you enjoy crowds then this is a great option, if you want something quieter look elsewhere or visit in the off season.
