The staff were wonderful truly excellent hospitality from start to finish. The hotel itself was a solid 10/10 in every aspect: service, cleanliness, and overall comfort. The location is unbeatable ,close to everything, especially the train station and the ferry port, which made getting around super easy. Breakfast was a highlight as well, with great options and service running until 10:30. Highly recommend!

My overall stay was great in every aspect. The hotel was very clean, the everyday cleaning of my room was very thorough. The staff were very helpful when asked for advice on visiting places and how to get there. The breakfast provided was abundant and delicious. Also the location of the hotel was perfect, walking distance of shops, transport facilities and restaurants. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Salerno and surrounds.

Hotel Montestella is a solid choice for anyone visiting Salerno. The location is definitely the highlight — it's right on the main pedestrian street, very close to the train station and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. It made getting around super convenient. The hotel itself is clean and modern, with comfortable rooms. Everything was well-kept and functional. While the room wasn't overly luxurious, it had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The staff was polite and professional, and check-in was smooth. They were available to help when needed, although we didn’t have much interaction beyond that. Overall, a good stay — not overly fancy, but comfortable and well-located. I’d recommend it for travelers looking for a practical and reliable place to stay in Salerno.

The hotel was clean and well situated. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast had options which clearly catered to tourists, like oat milk. The shower was extremely small though. The sliding doors couldn’t even open all the way so we had to enter sideways and hold our privates so they didn’t rub on the door of the shower.

Close to rail and bus lines and major tourist attractions like walking tours. PROS --location! --lovely staff. Friendly, warm, helpful! --great breakfast atrium CONS --visible signs of disrepair in my room --some street noise, because it's so well located --shower was quite dark, and smelled of urine at first --bed was pretty firm --room was quite warm and I needed to open window most of the time
