Stayed here a few times. Love it

The motel is pretty average. Though clean, the room was pretty rough around the edges and had a strong smell of old cigarettes. The motel is located next to a 24 hr pokies venue which isn't ideal. There is a beautiful park nearby and easy access to buses and the tram.

Need more blankets in the rooms. It was cold and we couldn't work out how to turn on the heater. Towel rail broken and kept falling off. Location, check in and out were excellent.

Checking in was really hard for some staff for whatever reason it took 5 phone calls and 45mins to get into room after 2pm check in time. Room was not too bad but was needing more maintenance and cleaning and some fixtures upgraded for sure. There was a really loud and obnoxious wake up due to an incident between staff and guests where the police were called to assist with eviction of the unwanted guests. Would have been nice to be compensated a nights expence like my next door guests got due to the rude and noisey wake up and anxiety caused by the situation that arose that morning. Yours sincerely Adin Bennett room 208

The property seems to be an old converted pub, rooms upstairs from a restaurant. Resonably well laid out and clean/tidy. The downfall was booking a "motel" room only to find out after it only has shared bathrooms. This needs to be promently displayed. For a cheap place to stay its very reasonable, but the property failed badly when it came to communication about the check-in procedure, only sending a door/room code late in the evening well after the check in opening time and only after being chased up to provide. (Along with their "glitch" of not sending the pre-check in linl the day prior... Makes it impossible to recommend.. Was surprised when entering the property that housekeepers were still stripping and making rooms so late as well... End result... cheap digs.. but beware the pitfalls...

A good overnighter but the checkin process is complicated & didn't work so after several emails & calls& having to upload a photo of my passport which wouldn’t load I finally got the door code to enter the building & my room.

The shower pressure and water volume was very limited. When other guests used their shower/toilet throughout the night our pipes would bang and wake us up. The shower curtain was extremely moldy as was tiles. King bed was great size and very comfortable. Saturday morning the cleaner was so loud woke us up, on her phone talking for about an hour … not sure how much cleaning she got done. Had complimentary car park out back - next to dumpsters that stank. We came and went about 10 times and several times there were no parks as single men (of Middle Eastern and Asian descent) were parked inconveniently there - taking up many parks. It felt unsafe … were they doing drug deals? Where they seeing a prostitute in another room? It was very hot and we left the air conditioner on over night. It kept making very loud sounds - like an industrial compressor turning on and off.

I would suggest that the fridge in room 217 be turned up a little. I left a glass of water in it overnight and it was mostly frozen in the morning. Luckily, my medication (insulin) did not freeze.

Room is fine. Check in went smooth. As there is no water or bathrooms in the room some fresh water in the fridge wouldn’t go astray.. also needs ventilation or working windows.. no balcony or terrace facility as being renovated currently. Ok for price.
