This place was interesting. It’s nestled back in an area of upscale places, such as a country club is right down the road.
The entrance is very pretty when you walk in and you will get a physical key for your room.
Now here’s where it’s interesting. The room furnishings are dated. There are thick shutters painted 2 dark colors on the window and the same paint on the closet. The carpet was dark and drab. Also the brown comforters didn’t do the room any favors.
To make this place all that it should be and bring it to life, the comforters, shutters, and carpet would need updating with lighter/clean colors such as white. The bed we slept in also needed a new mattress. It was concave on both sides from lots of use.
Now onto the best part of this place. The breakfast and the walking trails behind it. The breakfast had real eggs, biscuits with sausage gravy, bacon, assorted yogurt with granola, fresh fruit topping, and bagels with cream cheese. Unfortunately as soon as we got there at 9:15, it had ran out of everything so I got the last biscuit they had.
The woman running the breakfast was super sweet and trying her best but it was a lot for one person. Idk if she also had to cook everything. It seemed that way because she was gone a long time to get bacon and more of everything. We waited a while and had a piece of toast but had to leave bc it took too long.
Overall, because of the dated dark room I’d give it 3 stars.
