Happy rural stay
Excellent value for money Room clean and well presented Staff are friendly, professional warm Building well maintained Great value for food and drink The food and the menu is outstanding

Biz stay
Lovely welcome, very much needed after a long drive and a last minute road closure. Room was very clean and well appointed. Let down by the condition of the external door to the room which was a bit scruffy in comparison to the room itself.
GREG, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Very early pub closing times and quite late breakfast opening times. Make it not very convenient

Gorgeous place
Wonderful stay, staff all lovely and welcoming. The new manager is such a lovely person who is passionate about what he does. We will definitely be going back.

Great pub, average hotel
This is a pub with a few rooms tacked on rather than a hotel. The food's good, the beers great, but the rooms are in need of a makeover: Drab and poorly maintained.

AVERAGE
The staff were great. Had a really good salad. Nice pub and restaurant area But, the room needed a good paint. Shower needs the mould cleaned off to and the worst part was the mattress Thankfully i got an extra duvet to use as a "topper" to try and get a few hours sleep in

no more breakfast even though it shows as optional
The place is nice, the pub is nice as well It's a shame they stopped doing breakfast This means it's unlikely I will stay again as it's sort of mandatory.

On arrival, the room I was given, when opening the door, the bed /room had not been made up. However, when I went back to reception, I was immediately re-roomed and apologised to. So, no major drama.

2/10 Poor

Utterly grim! Rooms not been painted for years, and mattresses older than me! Closed run down caravan park out the back, shower off the wall, main light not working. Felt dirty and grimy. Staff were nice though and OK breakfast Described as upscale hotel - literally grim stay- awful

Thought it was a bit expensive £130 per room per night for room only and £10 per person for breakfast 2 nights £300 and the breakfasts we had were awful Eggs Benedict were hard and scrambled eggs no taste !!
Elsie, 2-night trip

Disappointed
