Booked 2, 2 bedroom suites and 1 bedroom studio. All of the rooms were very clean and well stocked. Check in and checkout were easy and service was friendly. We will stay there again

Not great customer service

This hotel and trip could have been amazing. However, a fire in the hotel woke us up at 2 am on the first day, which knocked out access to the gym. Then our room wasn't cleaned in 3 days. Then the breakfast contained 99% ultra processed food and subpar coffee in paper cups. When I wrote them to complain about my experience, no compensation was offered. Do better, Hilton. We certainly paid enough for it.

Freshly Renovated

The recent renovation has really refreshed this hotel. I did 4 stars for condition only because things were not quite finished yet, things missing from the room still etc. I fully expect in another week or so when the final touches are done that it would be a 5!

We liked: The size of the rooms. As a family of 12 we had 2 of the 2 bedroom suites. It was great to have the kitchens and the 2 bathrooms in each room with a common living area separate from the bedrooms. We have 4 celiac people in the family so having a kitchen is a real plus. The separate common room meant the younger children could go to bed while the rest of the family still visited. Several members of our family enjoyed the hot breakfast and the pool. Our rooms were quiet and the beds were comfortable. Some people commented the all the pillows were very soft. The choice of some firmer ones would be good. The location was great. We spent 2 days at Wonderland. It was nice to be so close. On the negative side, due to the on going renovations not everything was completed in our rooms. All of the doors stuck to the carpet. The rods were not up in the closets. There were no towel rods by the sinks. The kitchen had a limited number of dishes and there was no liquid dish soap. My husband feels that because we were not informed about the renovations there should have been some compensation in the price we paid.

I think it’s important for people to know in advance this property is being renovated. The gym is not available but you can go across the street to another hotel. They use very strong solvents and adhesives for their renovations that unfortunately permeated into one of our rooms. It also filled the pool area with a strong odour that wasn’t something we could be around safely. The hotel staff were very nice and apologized. When we commented on the solvent smell and need for ventilation in the pool area they fixed the problem. They did move rooms for us on the third night but unfortunately the room we were assigned was tainted by recent smoking (it was a non smoking room). They did bring in an air purifier to try to solve the smell but it didn’t do much. I think the staff are great, the breakfast was very delicious, but I am disappointed that when booking through Expedia there was no mention of renovations. For the price we paid I do feel we didn’t get a very comfortable stay because of all the odours.
