Absolute disgrace, easy to get infections

My experience at the accommodation has been terrible. They claim to have an email monitored 24 hours a day, yet I sent three emails and did not receive a single reply. The cleanliness was appalling: a shared bathroom that, in 17 days, was cleaned only once; one of the people using it was spitting blood and I had to clean it myself; the toilet seat was covered in intense yellow urine stains; the shower was full of hair – an absolute disgrace. At night, constant door slamming makes it difficult to sleep.

Vale pelo preco!

Apesar de bem localizado, área feia, muito barulhenta e mal frequentada. É um “dorm” universitário com quarto satisfatório, sem estrutura de cozinha (so a geladeira funcionava) e por bom preco. Em julho fica deserto.

Students ONLY means ONLY STUDENTS

The price and location were excellent. The staff on site were pleasant and helpful. The room was in a student housing for a London university. The suite had four rooms with one shower and one WC in the hall. The photos were misleading - no kitchen access, not even a kettle in the room, discovered once a booklet of rules was provided. WiFi was only free for ONE device. The communication was difficult to manage and my first reservation was cancelled arbitrarily two days before travel. The role of the management company is problematic. Home 365, Expedia need to be more clear.

Lovely staff

I really liked the student accommodation and found the staff to be friendly and helpful, especially Shaz who checked me in. The only complaint I have is that the actual building name wasn’t included in any check in details and there wasn’t a sign for Student OLIB on the door. I followed google maps which led me to a different building which caused lots of confusion.

Wouldn’t Stat Again

If you’re okay with noise, I imagine this would work for you. Between the pubs and nightlife below and the slamming doors of the dorm, it was a rough sleep (though better on the Saturday night than Friday). There were also these weird worm looking things crawling on the bathroom floor. Staff were quite nice and helpful. Very secure.
