Not great at all. Grubby and not maintenaned.
For the cost of this Hotel we expected much more. The whole resort had a very strong unpleasant smell, the room had several maintenance issues such as broken blinds, non functioning door lock, broken toilet cistern, missing light bulbs. Only stayed two nights so didn't bother reporting everything. The complimentary breakfast was a pretty mean offering served in the on site restaurant which was also in poor condition and very grubby which was off-putting and felt unhygienic. The serving staff gave us the same feelings too. We had no coffe maker anx there was nowhere on site to purchase any hot drink options. In every single hotel in the USA we've ever stayed in there's always a coffee maker in the room. Definitely couldn't recommend this place. Sorry

A so so experience
We were given very little information when we checked in. We were not told that a restaurant was available for dinner so we were too late to make a reservation that night. They advertise on the beach, but the beach is sand only, no water access. Just rocks like the coast of Maine. There is a definite lack of help in the restaurant in the morning. One guy running around trying to do everything. He was very pleasant. The whole resort needs a little TLC. If you want anything you must go to the office yourself and get it. The office is open and closed sporadically. Nothing is in the room telling you about restaurants or activities in the area. I will say that once we were able to get a reservation in the restaurant the food was very good. It seems to be very popular which creates a problem if you go out at night, trying to find a place to park when you return. It could be a really nice place if a little work was put into it.

We got baited by fake photos of a cottage on the beach but ended up in a loud adjoining room on the highway w/ super loud traffic and in perfect earshot of next room’s convo. Total yuck!

What is surprising wonderful Little Jewel we found in the rainbow. I liked it so much. My wife and I booked Labor Day already. We asked for the same room that we had and we and they gave it to us. I had to spend the evening with some of my local friends. They all raved about the restaurant there the next morning I had breakfast, which was fantastic and all the guest I met raved about the meal they had the night before, so when you do stay here make sure you plan at least one meal that lady is wonderful.

Enjoyed our stay.
Enjoyed our stay at The Rainbow Bend. It’s an older place that has some areas for improvement but the property is great. The restaurant on premises didn’t look like much but after doing some research it sounds like it’s one of the better places in the keys to get some really good food.

The property and staff are amazing! Breakfast is included and cooked to order. The views from the private beach are breathtaking! The only gripes are about the thin walled rooms, you can hear your neighbors every move, and no conversation is private. The rooms have been nicely updated and modernized with new bathrooms, flooring, and paint. If I was not such a light sleeper I would go back.

With the exception of Maurin who went above and beyond to address all the issues we had( some of them health issues) we did not feel the place gave any value for the money. On Expedia it said breakfast was included but they still charged us $9.99 per person saying the veggies in the omelette were not included. The front desk staff did not seem to agree

The hotel is on a beautiful property but it’s run down and old looking. The AC in room 20 was so loud I could not sleep. I am not a light sleeper. The AC is also located right above the bed. The room itself has an updated shower andexcept the toilet was old stained and cracked.
