Very disappointing experience!
We experienced a serious problem during two separate stays at this property. On both occasions, the water in the bathroom was a sickening shade of dark brown and not usable for bathing or drinking, which made the room effectively uninhabitable for our needs.
After the first incident, management encouraged us to return and give the hotel another try. We did — but unfortunately, the exact same problem occurred again. As a result, we were forced to check out early after one night and make alternate arrangements.
While the manager acknowledged the issue and apologized, we were charged several hundred dollars for a “mandatory cleaning fee,” which we did not feel was appropriate given the circumstances. We were told the issue was related to building maintenance and outside the hotel’s control, but it significantly impacted our stay and wound up costing us hundreds of dollars since we had to make a last-minute booking at another hotel. Clearly the manager could have exercised discretion but instead chose to enforce this policy even though basic services were not provided.
We chose this property for its spacious rooms, but due to these recurring issues and the unprofessional way in which the situation was handled, we would definitely not stay here again. We encourage other travelers to beware.
