Room was gross. Sheets were stained and had hair, the room hadn’t been dusted in god knows how long, the walls were dirty, the mattress sucked, and the caulk around the shower looked like it was growing. Staff was friendly

It was very dirty and incredibly small. You could hear a cricket snoring in the other room the walls were so thin. The TV didn't work on most occasions as well. I wouldn't do it again if I had the choice. It was a last minute choice as I had to find something quick for the weekend. Do yourself a favor and find something that costs more and decent.

It was a road side Motel, that upped it's price for the weekend events that were taking place in Galena. If you can sleep through a steady "dripping" noise, wasn't water, not sure exactly what is was, could have been the heater kicking on, very annoying

Clean and spaciius room. Beds were good. The only negative was the dog next door that barked every breath until its owners returned. They left it alone in the room and the relentless barking was aggravating.

Grant Hills Motel is a very good no-frills motel. Rooms are clean and reasonably priced. I stay here occasionally when I visit friends in Galena.

Check in was not great. I booked through Expedia so no payment was due at check in. I gave the clerk my ID and he told me I needed to swipe my credit card. I told him again that I booked through Expedia and I shouldn’t have to pay again. He told me I needed to pay. I asked him the amount and it was more than $10 more than the Expedia price. He then asked me if my name was, something that began with a B, and I said no, I just gave you my ID!!! He finally pulled up my reservation and figured out that I didn’t owe any additional money. Then I get to my room and the TV didn’t work so I had to change rooms. Very frustrating.
