Our planned stay was four nights at the Grizzly. They had our credit card as a guarantee. The forecast indicated 5"-7" of snow on the ground if we woke up on our scheduled departure day, and due to the Federal shutdown, we were concerned about our departure date and the bad roads the storm forecast promised us. We informed them on Thursday and then Friday we were going to leave on Saturday instead of Sunday. We asked them to please refund us for Saturday night, as they had charged us for all 4 nights Already. I called Jay at the Grizzly the week after we returned. He said he would refund one room one night. I said no, we needed two rooms for one night refunded. Then he wanted to argue weather nuance for Cooke City, Mt. saying they had only received an inch of snow. I checked on Sunday precipitation in Cooke City, and it indicated precipitation at 7" for Saturday night into Sunday with below freezing temperatures. We are lucky we left when we did! Obviously Jay is not going to refund us for the two rooms one night earlier departure. I put us at your mercy for this refund, to do what is right!

They had the heater on and the lights on in our room for us. They told us where to grab food and were above and beyond. We will definetely stay there again.

Terrible bathroom, nice owner

Pros: very friendly owner/manager, cute beds, bonfire at night (sad I missed both nights) Cons: infrastructure needs updating, not enough plugs and outlets already loaded, no plug in bathroom, no ventilation in bathroom (other than window), what appears to be black mold that was painted over in bathroom, extremely small bathroom overall, tiniest sink area, small shower, door hit toilet and couldn’t even open 90 degrees. Definitely not worth what we paid, and I wouldn’t have stayed there even if it were less.

Deceptive pictures

Bed was comfortable. Leftover soap was left over in shower, 2 different remnants (wasnt cleaned). Had to go ask twice for tp (we were there for 7 nights) Never git clean tiwels. A very large mouse ran in under the bottom of door. (About 1 1/4-1 1/2" gap) The picture that is shown on AD is not accurate. There is no running stream even close to the rooms. The managers were working very hard, housekeeping, Not. Trash can was full we couldnt even take our garbage out. Provided my own trash bags.

The owner is friendly and quick check in. The room was nice. Beds comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower! TV, microwave, and mini fridge. Very close to the North Entrance of Yellowstone. We started our day @ 6am on the West Entrance and finished on the North side. So this was the perfect place to stay after a long day of adventure. Highly Recommend!

Stayed here as part of our Yellowstone Teton vacation. Loved the location and the ambiance of this place! The cabins are super cute and the owners were very welcoming. We also really liked the fact that they started a fire outside that everyone could come and sit at. Absolutely GREAT location for going into Lamar Valley. We went into the park in the evening and then were able to go back in early AM. Would definitely stay again - rooms were very clean too!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Comfort was ok. Facilities a little old, more rustic. Not too many places to choose from so accommodations was acceptable for one night. Fireplace outside made it an experience.

Last stop before Yellowstone! The place was clean and comfy and check in was a breeze. They had a bonfire at night which felt magical with the mountains in the background. Bonus, the two sweet dogs who helped check us in!

Close to the exit of the park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dining options across the street. We stayed in one of the cabins and it is a wonderful vacation experience.
