Fantastic

Stayed here before and will be staying again for sure! Great place with really friendly staff.

Exceptional Service

It's the people (for me) that make a place. Don't get me wrong, the location, and Caistor Hall itself are both great, but the service we received made this an exceptional experience. We felt right at home, it's posh but without airs & graces, perfect. Michelle was just lovely, so friendly and helpful, knew the property, it's history, and spoke very highly of the owners (important that the leadership of a place like Caistor Hall is right). I think this hotel is a fantastic place for an event, a weekend stay or dinner at the Michelin star restaurant (we didn't on this occasion but if I can get a booking it's on the cards). Massive thanks to all the staff there, made us feel very welcome and we had a lovely stay. 🙏😎🙏 Our room was good, bed was very comfy and we slept well. Breakfast, which was included, was of a very high standard, plenty of options for all tastes. The grounds were amazing (the stunning weather helped!), we would go back in a heartbeat, really loved it here. WiFi is available, plenty of parking, 10 ish minutes from the heart of Norwich.

Lovely grounds and a nice stay

We had a pleasant stay for one night at Caistor Hall. Staff were very friendly, Grounds were lovely and dinner was decent. Breakfast was tasty and good choice for a vegetarian. Room had creaky floorboards and a little too warm and bathroom was very small, shower started to drip water at 3am for about a minute which woke me up and I had trouble getting back to sleep but overall it was a very nice stay and I would return.

You should pick this one, great place to stay

Lovely place, a rural retreat, but close to Norwich and the A47. Excellent staff and service. Very good food and we didn't have time to be more adventurous, but I'll be back! Competitive price too!

Beautiful hotel

Slightly understaffed we thought. Staff were very pleasant and exceptionally well trained in service and knowledge of menu’s. Breakfast was cooked to order which is always a good sign. Some areas, like windows, were dirty, but hotel was clean. Main areas were well decorated. Bedrooms less so with signs of wear and tear.

Beautiful setting. It was another very warm day but there are plenty of shady spots on the terrace where you can sit with a cool drink and enjoy the very spacious gardens. It’s a small hotel which gives it its own intimate vibe. The rooms are nicely decorated. We had a standard room which had a four poster bed. It’s an old building so the floor was a little uneven. Not a problem once you realise you don’t have vertigo! The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was lovely with a very comfortable mattress and lovely fluffy pillows. It was a very hot day and the fan in the room didn’t really move the air much, be we came prepared with our own so we were able to be comfortable. We dined in Mark Poynton’s newly awarded Michelin Star restaurant. The food and flight of wines were divine and the staff were very knowledgeable, attentive but not intrusive. They worked hard but very clearly enjoying themselves.

We stayed at Caistor Hall as we were going to a wedding reception nearby. We received a warm welcome when we checked in. The room itself was very large with a good modern bathroom, although to get the shower at a reasonable temperature was a work of art - you need to be patient that the hot water will eventually come! The decor is a little old fashioned but in keeping with the building. Breakfast, included in the room rate, was excellent with a good choice available. We would definitely stay here again if we needed a hotel close to Norwich.

Great place

Beautiful hotel and grounds, and great clean bedroom with en-suite. Staff we met at reception and at breakfast were amazing. The breakfast itself was superb too. Bed, though, could have been more comfortable and TV better placed. Overall though a really great place to stay and highly recommended.

A real gem of a property, hidden away in lovely countryside south of Norwich, rooms are enormous and luxurious with four poster beds, and the property itself is a beautiful historic building. Great food at dinner and friendly service! Will stay again!
