Not good for the price, and the air conditioner can’t work, make the call no one answer, leave a voice message, can not work, no one to resolve the problem, and wall is still wet maybe it’s new paint, the smell is not good

Had a great time staying at hotel Gigi for a conference. Walking distance from the conference center. Rita was available for any questions.

Not travel friendly
I arrived before check in time to drop off my bag. Being that this hotel is not staffed, I called Rita for assistance. She explained that my only option was to pay the $40 early check in fee in order to drop my bag off. “You are already getting a really great deal” she says. Landlord vibes.

Great Location
There is no front desk so check in is remote. The key code was easy to use and finding the room was a breeze. Close to Gaslamp and 5 min walk to Petco Park. Street parking is hard to find on weekends, there are however numerous pay public parking lots.

Great stay but not ready for business people
Very very clean, updated, and fresh. Secure and quiet, ideally located to access the Hilton Bayside and SD Convention Center sites. Walking distance to hundreds of bars, pubs, and restaurants, not to mention retail shops of interest. My only wish for the room was a small table to set me laptop to get some work done. Even a fold-down tabletop hinged to the wall would get the job done. Business folks need a place to get an hour or two of work done in a hotel room; this would make Hotel Gigi better suited for business travelers.

The Gas Lamp quarter
Hotel Gigi is a contactless boutique hotel in the downtown San Diego Gas lamp quarter district. Parking is limited to two spaces in front the building and street parking after 6pm. The stay was perfect once I received the text message containing check in process. Thanks Hotel Rita!

Hidden little gem
Hotel Gigi was perfect for my needs-a good bed and bathroom. They promptly brought in a small table upon request to put my stuff on. I didn’t have much luck with the tv remote but didn’t need tv the two nights I stayed. You can hear your neighbors if they are noisy, which was my case, but otherwise quiet, secure, and private. I’ll book it again next time I’m visiting SD on my own.

There was no desk, nor any other legitimate horizontal surface to do work at, lay out luggage, etc. The tiny window was to a light well, with ni view whatsoever. But at least it was clean.

Never again. Zero amenities, not even a desk in the room. TV was just a monitor, no broadcast channels. Wood floors led to listening to clomping from above all night.
