Great location, solid facilities, but questionable customer service with staff that seems disinterested in their work.
We stayed one night here as a quick stop before flying internationally out of LAX. We’re traveling with our toddler so a functioning fridge is the biggest concern anywhere we stay these days. We quickly noticed our fridge wasn't working after check-in but figured we reset it and give it a few hours to cool down before bringing it up.
That evening my wife figured she’d order dinner at the lobby in the restaurant and grabbed the ice bucket on her way. She asked reception where she was greeted by Alisa who she asked could fill it up. The staff told her to just ask the bar. When she got back to the room she noted the lady at reception seemed like she was quietly rolling her eyes, making jokes and mocking her with her colleague, and just felt like she was judging her the whole time which is incredibly bizarre.
The next day upon checkout the staffer seemed aloof and asked “Room 1120 right?” I was confused and pointed out our room number on another floor was on the card holder I handed her… when I asked for sn invoice I was met with just a lukewarm attitude. After walking towards our car I told my wife “well that was weird… her whole attitude seemed a little rude right?” My wife laughed, told me it was the same associate from yesterday, Alisa, and reasoned I noticed with no real interaction.
I suggest this place hires staff who want to be there.
