I am a tourist from Hong Kong and I stayed in this hotel from 11th to 17th Sep. My stay at Hotel Acadia Astotel is a disaster and I could not get a “Normal Room” at all days.
Below are the full details:
On 11th Sep, a male reception staff provided Room 401 for me and my roommate while another Room 303 for my friends during check-in. However, I could not enter Room 401 and the male reception staff said it was a technical problem related to the door lock. He asked me to change the room type to “Double Bed” and to stay in Room 304. I agreed at that time as he mentioned that he could offer nothing more to me.
After the 1st night of our stay in Room 304, my roommate felt itchy when lying on bed and bite mark from bed bugs was found on her leg. As we are professional nurses, so we definitely confirmed that the bite mark are not from mosquitos as the marks from mosquitos will last for longer on skin. We reported the case to the male reception staff immediately and stated that bed bugs is an infectious problem. He promised to follow up and fix the problem.
After the 2nd night, we still felt itchy on bed and asked again for help from the male reception staff. He replied linens were changed but in Room 303 only. Oh my God! The staff made such a mistake as all my friends and I confirmed that we asked for changing linens for Room 304 instead of Room 303. Moreover, it is unbelievable that linens in all rooms are not changed in a daily basis in such a prestige hotel. So
