We booked an ocean view room — a premium experience we were really looking forward to. When we checked in, we were told we were being “upgraded” to a better room. That sounded great… until we got there and realized it had no windows. Not a partial view, not a courtyard — literally a windowless room.
We immediately asked to switch back to what we had originally booked and paid for, but were told nothing could be done. No alternative options, no credit, no apology — just a shrug.
This felt like a bait-and-switch. The ocean view was a huge part of why we booked this trip. Getting stuck in a dark, closed-off room completely changed the experience.
