Old and tired
We reserved a room (rm25) for one night, but unfortunately, we had to check out early. The mattress was quite old, and uncomfortable, lacking support; this seems like an easily addressed issue, and it suggests a lack of investment in the property's upkeep. The rest of the property is also dated and in need of modernization. The absence of an elevator, coupled with the lack of assistance in carrying our luggage up two flights of narrow stairs, was inconvenient. The property is very expensive considering its condition, though I suppose the location is its main advantage. I also requested that the $15.00 resort fee be waived upon checkout, but it was charged to my card; I hope for a refund. I'm unclear what services the resort fee covers, other than seemingly generating additional revenue. Not a great start to our holiday.

Would stay again
Quick family stay after a Transatlantic cruise. Stayed for 3 nights. Our room was perfect for our needs. Bigger and better then expected. Excellent views and great location. Only negative was the beds were horrible. The tiki bar was great. The musician's that played every day were amazing. Such an entertaining and great place to stay

Not for business.
Wonderful location and great staff. Very tired rooms and a holiday crowd. Was quite noisy. I booked this as part of a business trip and this would have been a good choice for a long weekend. It's a very lively tiki bar scene and not somewhere I would recommend for children.

The whole property is outdated, they let people grill right by the room door, the smoke is all over, parking is one block away. The location is amazing if you are staying just to go to the beach.

Cool oceanside location
We were there during a hurricane. The location is awesome...right off the beautiful boardwalk and beach. The facility is dated due to its age, but the beds were comfortable and there was a small kitchenette. Good parking, but cost $18/day.

We have stayed here multiple times and have truly loved it. However this stay was the least of our favorite visits as the hotel is under roofing and tiki bar construction. We were asked to move multiple times in the courtyard and unable to speak at times due to the loud pounding. My husband was terribly annoyed as we had family visiting that we wanted to enjoy in conversation. Otherwise, the hotel accommodated my husband in a ground floor room after his 2 knee replacement surgeries. The hotel also had to make entertainment adjustments due to high winds so we missed out on daily musical entertainment.

Perfect beach getaway
This was my 5th stay at the Riptide. Its the perfect place to go for a beach getaway. The tiki hut serves great food, and they have the best bartenders. Location is a 10! Directly on the broadwalk 10 steps to the sand of one of the most beautiful and well kept beaches. Ill be back again!

Location, location, location. The view is absolutely impeccable. It’s like waking up to a picture perfect frame. 180 view of the beach and the Board Walk.The shower water temperature is perfect, pressure is deficient. There is a kitchen and room 24 easily fits 5. The booking promised a bottle of wine but we did not get one. Air conditioner is only a window unit. So it gets very warm during the day, and “comfortable” during the night. Linens and towels are are very clean. I would stay there again… for the view.

Bed Sheets in our room and our friend's room next door were filthy. Our friend's went and bought sheets for the bed. Absolutely no hot water in our room. #15 Sand on the sofa bed. sand all over the floor.
