This is an older building kept with care. We weren’t really sure what we were going to walk into but we wanted to try something different and this definitely fit that. Very clean and cozy feeling.
-The owners were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They’re very knowledgeable about the area and the history of the building. They are reachable by phone/text, no landline phone in the room.
-Our room and bathroom across the hall were very clean, not even cobwebs.
-Free street parking.
-Small variety of breakfast included with the stay.
-I only bring up eco-friendliness because it was a star rating option. The hall lights and bathroom lights are on timers, no tv in the room, no in-room temp control for the ac, (but it was cool and there was a fan we could’ve used) all saving on electricity. There are shampoo/conditioner/soap bottles available that you can pour into reusable ramekins saving on small unrecyclable travel size bottles. Breakfast was set out with regular plates and silverware, avoiding paper and plastic. Given this is a hotel and sheets/towels/rooms need to be cleaned with each party’s use, the only thing I feel could be improved in this area is a green waste basket for food scraps to be composted.
-They had a cute space in the lobby for merch, which they helped us find in our size, and they made a few nearby food recommendations.
Great experience with a small business and we would stay there again!
