The good: location, its close to all the main touristy places in Istanbul. It has a variety of restaurants close by (be mindful that the reviews on most of the restaurants in Istanbul aren't reliable, thought). The staff was very nice, specially the lady in the cafeteria and the cleaning staff. The rooms were spacious and clean, overall quiet considering the location.
The not so good: a lot of sellers in this area, everytime we walked to or from our hotel you get swarmed by sellers, so if this isn't your thing, choose a quieter location. The last day, I told the front desk that we would be staying until the noon check-out time, he didn't tell the cleaning staff, they waiting in the staircase until we left, which was an awkward sitution. We almost felt pressured to go.
