Great stay but stairs concern
Took my teenagers to an NBA game and decided to stay at Westin.. it says it’s a 5 minute walk to Fed Ex Forum but it is more like 30 seconds.. great surprise! Nice hotel but one of the elevators was having issues and caused a huge line to form and we were told the stairs only led to a second floor elevator.. and we were told there were stairs on the other side of the building but we weren’t allowed to use them…there was a lady standing at the stairs telling everyone to turn around wait on the elevator to be able to go up.. definitely a concern of mine and when I mentioned it to a front desk person she told me she wasn’t sure about what would happen..since we were on the 4th floor myself and several others felt uneasy about the stay. On a positive note beds were comfortable, room was clean and the cleaning lady was so sweet. Vallet’s were also great. We stayed in room 418.. if you don’t handle loud music and noise well don’t stay in that room.. there is a bar below that was going till well after 2am.. it didn’t bother us but it may some. Overall we had a great stay..

Will NEVER again stay at Westin Memphis!!
We booked through Hotels.com, when we arrived I was asked for my payment method, I told the lady that I had already paid, she assured me that I had not, so I give her my payment method and paid again. A few days later our bank acct. showed that we were charged twice, so I made numerous phone calls to the hotel, left several messages asking for them to please return my call, but never got a call. I finally, after about 6 phone calls reached a lady in accounting. She assured me that she'd look into it, said when I checked in their system just wasn't showing me as paid yet, but she should be able to refund my money and would email me about it. So I get the email saying we would be given back 150 of our 189 charges. So once again I get on the phone to reach someone, after 4 more calls I reach the hotel manager, who then passed the issue back to the accounting lady who told me even tho we were charged 189 she could only give us back 150 due to the difference being the valet parking charge. We were charged 191 when we booked online, which we assumed covered the valet since it was almost the same amount that the hotel charged us. When I asked about it, she told me that the extra amount changed online was online fees, not valet parking. So here it is, 6 days later, our money has not been put back into our bank account, I spent half my day trying to reach someone at the hotel about being overcharged which was 100% their fault, but they feel the need to keep 39 of our money for valet!

Wonderful location but OMG. My room on the 8th floor faced Beale street and even with the sound machine turned real loud it was very noisy. Loud music into the wee hours.
