The room we were first put in was on their 7th floor. Stepping off the elevator was extremely unpleasant - the whole floor smelled as if someone was cooking ground beef that had gone rancid. The room itself smelled much the same. After sitting in the room for about 10 minutes, we decided to call to the front desk to see if we could be moved, as both myself and my daughter were feeling physically ill due to the overwhelming odour. We called down and were told that we could be moved and they would call me back. After 40 minutes went by, we went down to the lobby to see what was going on. The two staff members there apparently had no idea we had requested a move. After first saying they only had a king bed available (I had booked 2 queens), they then moved us to another room. Thankfully this room did not smell terrible, however the bathroom was visibly dirty and there were many stains on the carpeting throughout the room. I had originally booked 2 nights through hotels.com - I contacted them to cancel my 2nd night. Hotels.com had to contact the hotel to confirm my cancellation - they agreed to partially refund me for my second night, even though this was well before 24 hours prior to check in. I would highly recommend not staying at this property, and I am pretty displeased with the hotel not refunding me per their own refund policy.
