parking spots are very small and difficult to get in and out of. breakfast was not very good. tv was a huge puzzle to operate. we did enjoy using the complimentary coffee machine. location was great. staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Loft is spacious and interesting

We had the loft, very interesting layout with plenty of room and a fully functional kitchen. It's in the older building (attached to the new one), so no elevator, but not hard to access through some fairly old stairs. Room was nice and comfortable with lots of space, but one huge drawback for us: all the windows are sealed shut (in spite of the information received from the front desk before booking, that all rooms have opening windows). Luckily there was an access door to some external stairs in the back that we could open to let some fresh air in. The espresso machine in front of the reception was a nice bonus.

Très bien pour accueil, l’emplacement au centre de tout mais j’ai été très déçu du déjeuner qui était froid, pas de renouvellement d’aliments après 9h00. L’air climatisé m’a réveillé sans cesse durant la nuit car très bruyante. Par contre lit confortable et chambre propre

Comfort in Quebec

Hotel was comfortable with a great location in Old Town and close to everything you want to explore in town by walking. Hotel was quaint but modern with a friendly staff. Only downside was maintenance and housekeeping. Brroken towel rack was never fixed and while housekeeping provided new towels and emptied trash they placed old towels from floor back on counter and did not make bed. Parking at hotel was convenient but be forewarned to arrange in advance as spces are limited and spces can be tight. Hotel advised in advance of certain car midels they couldn’t accommodate which was appreciated. I would recommend this hotel for comfort and convenience

Nice hotel in a good location. Needs some refreshing ( carpet needs to be replaced). Breakfast not special. Adequate but like a Hampton Inn breakfast. Nice coffee and drink options (wine dispenser ) in the lobby.

Average stay in a beautiful city

Hotel Champlain is a decent hotel in a great location. The beds are fairly comfortable and the bathroom is dated but functional. We thought breakfast was included but upon check-in was told that because we booked on Expedia (Hotels.com) breakfast would be $14.95 each. That was still reasonable. One disappointing note was when I needed change to leave a tip for maid service, I asked for change of $20 U.S and was given $20 Canadian instead of $27.50 Canadian. When I questioned it I was told thats what they do. A 20% service fee would've been bad but 37% is robbery. A good tip is make sure you have change and if you have to park at lot down the street park on level 3, this will save you from walking up a portion of a decent hill

Great location, overall clean shared space. Breakfast was good given the price. Although room and bedsheets were clean, the bed pillows smelled like they hadn’t been washed for months. I hope my room was an exception and management would take note of that. Staff was very courteous and made us feel welcome.

Comfortable, spacious and clean room for our family of 2 adult and 2 teens. Easy to walk all around town to restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc. The free coffee station with delicious espressos and lattes was a big positive. My only suggestion is more hooks and/or places to hang wet towels in the bathroom.
