We got an upgrade to a bigger room which was very nice. Room was good size, comfortable for the 3 of us. Love the modern deco and amenities in room. Surrounding was nice with the subway just few minutes walk away. Would stay at this place again if back in London.

Overall we had a good stay at this hotel however a few slight disappointing discoveries like dirty bedding, peeling paint behind the curtain, a very stiff bathroom tap, mismatched mugs & teaspoons and lastly ill-fitting curtains which let daylight in and disrupted our sleep. Apart from these minor things our room was a decent size, it was decorated modern with plenty storage and amenities and was comfortable for our one nights stay.

Looks better than it is

Credit where it is due, the room was clean and nicely decorated. But the bed was lumpy, squeaked so loud turning in our sleep woke us up, pillow like a brick, sockets did not work by the bed, bedside light did not work and day and night there were people outside drunk or on drugs shouting and pilice attended twice. It is a very convenient location for museums and albert hall though.

Very small room but fine for a single night. Limited space for 2 peoples luggage and clothing. One thing, the hotel is not called the Oxford Hotel which is confusing and inconvenient. But maybe not a fault of the hotel.

Excellent location near tube and many bus routes.The Oxford hotel is run as Merit Kensington and is housed across 3 buildings in the same street.We were pleasantly surprised by the interior decor of our room on 3rd floor of building 12.Tiny bathroom but very clean and great shower. Bed was a sofa bed but comfortable and slept well.Air conditioning was effective and much needed....Room.very small but had everything we needed. I had read some negative reviews about staff and the £100 deposit...Staff were very helpful.Luggage storage available.I queried the automatic deposit refund on checkout..our room was checked while we waited, confirmed in order, transaction voided..... Glad I had been aware of this in advance.

Servicen var super god, men hotellet står som værende handikapvenligt og er det stik modsatte af det. Morgenmaden var heller ikke noget specielt eller godt. Men omgivelserne rundt om hotellet er dejligt. Så hvis man “bare” skal bruge et sted og sove er hotellet perfekt

Vi spenderade 4 nätter på hotellet och blev imponerade över hur rent det var. Incheckningen var riktigt smidig, att komma in på rummet likaså. Frukosten var bra, det fanns mycket frukt. Eller, gott om melon och banan. Saknade ett fiberrikt bröd och naturell yoghurt (det fanns bara smaksatt) men inser att jag inte kan få allt. Frukosten är väldigt viktig för mig därför har jag mest att anmärka på där. Sängen var hård och ac:n lyckades vi inte ändra inställning på - vilket resulterade i en grov förkylning när vi flög hem. Men skulle ändå återvända hit då jag tyckte det var prisvärt och instämde med mina förväntningar.

We started our trip here and ended it here, and my wife loves this place. She likes very quiet rooms that can be made as dark as possible at night when she is sleeping. I booked a charming guest inn for our stay up north, and it was noisy, bright, and they had a macerator (look it up). My wife was not amused. Highly recommend this place...oh, it also has heated bathroom floors.

Location, location, location! Right around the corner from the Earl's Court Station, and in a great little neighborhood with lots of restaurant choices. The hotel is safe, comfortable, and clean. Plus my wife was so happy that it was very quiet at night. Also, we were surprised at how updated and well appointed the room was. The one con that we had was that we couldn't check in a little early. After a 16 hour trip and considering we had a five night reservation, it would have been nice.
