Terrible Experience – Not Worth the Price or the Hassle
We booked and prepaid for a 2-bedroom lake-view villa for a special 40th birthday getaway, and it was a disaster from start to finish. They gave away our room and expected us to change rooms every night. Instead of the villa, we were put in a dark condo under a parking garage beside the elevator. We didn’t get the room we paid for until 4pm on our last night—right before packing up to leave.
We had to repack daily, and were promised our luggage would be moved while we were out, which never happened. Every day our room keys were deactivated, and we spent far too much time re-explaining everything to new front desk staff. There was zero communication between shifts and no consistency.
We also missed two dinner reservations due to the chaos—one because our room wasn’t ready until after 7pm, and another after returning from a wine tour only to find our keys didn’t work and nothing had been moved.
Every time we were at the front desk (which was way too often), there were other angry guests dealing with similar issues. We heard multiple complaints unprovoked—it’s clearly a pattern.
