Fawlty Towers
1) Normal check-in is at 15:00 hours. We arrived at 13:30 and went to reception to pay for two days of car parking. We were told that the room was not ready and to come back at 15:00. We came back at 15:30 and was given the keys to room 112. On entering, the room was not made up and in a complete mess. It was reported to Reception and was offered a corner room with a limited sea view. This was refused as we had booked a sea view room. We asked if the room could be made up whilst we waited but the house keeping staff had gone home. Reception gave us another room with a sea view and we moved in.
2) Dinner was served by what looked like the maintenance man wearing his work clothes. He was the only waiter on duty. The next day we saw him cleaning the car park. I have photos but have not posted them.
3) Day 2 Dinner, the wine glass placed on our table was broken with a large chunk missing from it resulting in spillage when filling with water.
We have stayed here before with no complaints but this was not a good experience considering it is advertised as a 4 star hotel.
