During Covid, when i worked in London, i stayed weeks on end at this hotel, really enjoyed the service, cleanliness, location etc. So i decided to bring my kids here for a short stay.
The check-in was great, smooth and very quick.
The room was nice and clean. First night, everything was great, including the room service and quality of food.
On our second day, once we got back to the hotel, we were disappointed in the lack of professionalism of housekeeping. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, whether it was someone's first day on the job..., but our beds weren't properly made, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, no fresh towels, the coffee mugs etc hadn't been seen to. It was quite disappointing! I had to make 2 phone calls to reception to ask for tea/coffee, clean mugs and spoons and toilet paper. What a shame, because up to that point, we were very happy.
