Room was clean and tidy, pool was closed. At breakfast the tables were still full of used plates and bowls only one person trying to cover cleaning tables topping up breakfast items coffee machine not working other coffee was cold jars of condiments ie jam marmalade with spoon in them were all sticky and I also saw a child lick one after putting jam on toast then put it back in jar not very hygienic. Waited 10 minutes for a member of staff to come to the bar for us to have a drink and order food so we left and went into town for food .

Good location but hotel room was in a poor state of repair. Door banging g all night due to porous window. Heating inadequate due to porous and non double me glazed window. Also heating not put on before arrival. Staff were pleasant but ineffectual. Breakfast was mediocre. A let down after a great stay at the Ibis hotel near Southwark Bridge in London.

Good reasonably priced hotel for a short stay.
Good hotel as a base for visiting the area. Cleanliness was good and the staff were helpful. The decoration was quirky but ok. £10 per day to park was a bit steep. Our room was a bit cold and there were no instructions for the heating control.

The Hotel was nicely situated and quiet, the rooms were okay but cheaply decorated. The hot water took ages to become warm, and then in the sink both taps were warm! Okay for a short stay but would venture closer to the beach if on holiday.

Room, on ground floor, was comfortable and overall interior of hotel was clean and well maintained - only saw ground floor. Room quality was better than I've seen in other hotels that charge similar prices to this one. Grounds outside the hotel need a bit of a tidy especially if they are going to charge £10 a day for parking. Didn't look like much of the parking fee was going into grounds maintenance. Woken on both of the two nights I spent there by noise from the hotel bar area. Second occasion was at two in the morning and made worse by two, probably drunk, men having a loud conversation and swearing right outside my door. Prior to that the same guys had been talking very loudly in, I assume, the hotel bar. If the hotel is going to serve people with alcohol in the small hours of the morning they do need to take some responsibility for encouraging good guest behaviour in the interests of the peace and comfort of others Some initial confusion over whether I had booked breakfast - I had and paid via Expedia but hotel had no record of any breakfast booking - was sorted when I showed my app booking to the receptionist. Receptionist was very courteous. Breakfast was good - buffet style which meant food wasn't as hot as i would have liked and scrambled eggs a bit dry but more than adequate and reasonable value for price. Noise at night is the biggest issue that would stop me booking this hotel again. Had it not been for the noise my rating of this hotel would be good.
