Many Disappointments All Included in One Price
A hotel so disappointing I almost booked a different hotel for my last two nights.
The staff is horrible- before the trip I contacted them to book scuba and other reservations using no less than 6 different methods of contact. Reservation Manager Ahmed Hassan was the only one who responded and told me to email a different address. A few days later, I said I had tried and did not get a response, he did not respond and did not offer any further help. The front desk was equally unhelpful. After a long travel day, I was struggling with my a heavy backpack and they had me shuffle all over reception without offering to help. They also were confused and unhelpful about scuba and when I told them the hotel app was not working. By the way, I signed on to WiFi and at one point, a staff member grabbed my phone and turned on data without my permission, costing me $12/day in charges.
Food was terrible. Drink selection was terrible. Taxis through the hotel were 10x as much and they make it near impossible to get outside cabs. Their cabs will also scam you and force you into their perfume store.
Everything in the hotel is far apart and so much is off limits to all-inclusive.
Scuba through the hotel was overpriced- 2-3x what you get outside the hotel.
Buildings were dated and there’s even one part near the cafeteria that’s really just a bad neighborhood, filled with graffiti and boarded up doors. QR codes everywhere didn’t work. The in-app chat feature never responded to my requests.
