Arrived to a room with stains on every upholstered surface and many areas of the carpeted and a foul sewer like odor. Dead bugs on floor, hair on sheets under bedspread. Elevator, and hallway at exit of elevator, extremely dirty, large trash cart at 2nd floor elevator lobby, used disposable gloves laying on floor. Could not tolerate the conditions in location and left the hotel dinner and to search for better accommodations. Tried to check out around 9:15 pm and was told I could not check out until the reservation of Friday 9-6 through check out on Sunday 9-8-24 expired. Requested a copy of some proof I was attempting to check out and the evening desk clerk printed and provide a portfolio of information for the stay with a date and timestamp for Friday, 9/6/24. Desk clerk also advised of some issues with cleanliness from some of the assigned staff and apologized. Left the location for an available and clean accommodation in Roseville, CA a great distance away from the family event occuring in Dutch Flat. Tried get a refund via the Expedia help line and was advised the Best Western property refused to provide a refund. Still seeking reimbursement via alternative methods. Would never recommend this location to anyone , ever.
