Perfect for what we needed
Perfect for what we needed . We booked two days for the start of our holiday before heading to Negril .5 minutes away from the airport which was perfect after travelling 10 hours to Jamaica. Room was clean , bed was comfortable. The restaurant had a nice selection on the menu and was cooked well and arrived at the table quickly . The restaurant and pool bar staff were very efficient and friendly . The main pool was nice and sunbeds and umbrellas for shade were in good condition. Location of the property was good for local shops to get basic groceries and alcoholic drinks . It was also convenient for bars and restaurants.

Haven’t been back in Jamaica since 2012 and I was very much looking forward to this vacation. My stay here was my first and definitely my last. I’ll say this though; if I’m to base my stay on staff friendly I’ll give it a B+. Cooked food is served cold even though it says cooked to order. I ordered a “Sprite” which was not just hot but also over 2 months expired.

As a Jamaican, I decided to stay in the central part of the resort area that me. We looked for convenience & reasonable rate,seen that were we going to stay for (17) days. Tobys Resort was the perfect place. It's been there for a few decades now,I knew that because I was born in Montego Bay. Anyway. Obviously they are trying their best to keep up the property and yes they do. The staffs are very helpful. Upon arrival the lady at the front desk ( I think her name is Charlene) and others like Orlando(Restaurants) and most of all JULIET (Housekeeping) were very good!!! Juliet kept our room stocked and cleaned . One positive criticism: The doors needs repair. On separate nights we saw a roach and a small lizard came in from under the door. We immediately opened the door and they made a u-turn 😱😂. Around the doors needs to be sealed. Anyway, we'll be back next year!! Madeline and Kenneth Sawyers Respect!

It was amazing. The staff was amazing they treated you like family. The room are really nice. The owner is excellent very friendly and he makes you feel like you are at home. The food is great. We stayed at the end of our vacation for 2 nights. We found the front staff Tiu very abrupt & not helpful. We were advised at 1:30 that check in wasn’t until 3 which we knew & were standing with 4 pieces of luggage with no offer of anything until Nadine came in. Our luggage went in a filthy back room & we went out by the pool bar for a drink. It was also a mess behind the bar. We went to the restaurant & was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. At 3 we went to the front & was given a package with remotes for tv and aircondioning. We were not offered reluctant help witg our luggage but watched others have there’s delivered on a trolley (2 bags or less) and nobody hauling their own. Our room patio door was the entrance and it was wide open when we arrived with no air conditioning running ir fridge plugged in. The fellow who helped us did plug it in and demonstrate the tv. The bathroom was dilapidated but worked. More than 1/2 the nozzles on the shower head didn’t work and it was difficult regulating the water. Pillows were terrible and both our backs ached after one sleep and we had another one to go!!It was a small room and tiny deck and I booked a suite. They told me it was a suite but others seemed much bigger. They said it was the angle of the room?? Check out was not much better and they have a taxi to the airport for 15 dollars that they point to. Overall I wouldn’t go back. It just seemed only a few staff were actually working and the rest miserable
