This was our second time at Mia Reef. Overall, our stay was good but the resort does need some major maintenance - wear and tear are very noticeable throughout. For example - shakey faucet, low water pressure, scratches on some furniture. The beaches are unbeatable on the island however! They never disappoint.

We really liked the room we stayed in 5010, the views were amazing. We did not care mush for the food. Most of the food served in the buffet was cold. I would advise heating food to 140* holding temp to avoid food poisoning. The staff in the restaurant were amazing and the great teamwork was evident. Very friendly and pleasant. We had an amazing experience and will return again.

Just got back! Heaven on earth! The staff was the best people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The ocean is perfect. Buffet food was good, but the grilled food at the buffet was delicious! Highly recommend

We love staying at Mia Reef! First experienced this on our honeymoon and then have come back twice since then. The location is probably the best part and the ocean and beach is perfect! We stayed in the villa’s this time and we loved our location!!! The staff always go out of their way to serve and be attentive- Andres is always bringing drinks he knows we like without asking and Roberto remembered us from our previous trips. They are the sweetest. The only thing that this resort is missing is room service and restaurant options overall. But we continue to return because we love it! So beautiful and a perfect part of the island if you want to walk around town. Highly recommend!!!

Si tu contacto con repecion es solo recibir la habitacion esta bien, pero no hay reabastecimiento del frigobar, no vale la pena quedarse más de 3 dias, el excelente trabajo que realizan los de limpieza y meseros se va al demonio cuando tienes que cambiarte de habitacion 7 personas en villas te pasan a 2 habitaciones con cama queen, pides el cambio y ni te pelan, y para subir otra cama se tardan, y si pides agendar taxi pidelo con 30 min de anticipacion para ver si asi lo piden que llegue a la hora que necesitas salir, recepcion no realiza las canalizaciones y cuando pides informe de las habitaciones el gerente regaña a los chicos que te quieren apoyar, nos toco huracan y literal fue el refugio mas caro que pagamos ya que en la habitacion se tuvo que quedarnuna persona en el piso y otra en silla, no regresaria a hospedarme

You go to the mia reef for the location. There is nothing else like it. Being said this is our third time staying here. The hotel up keep is falling short. The beach is shrinking yearly. But The staff as always is amazing. Shot out to the bar staff and waiters they do make your stay as amazing as you make it.

La ubicación es inmejorable. La propiedad necesita de una renovación. Para mi, la habitación cumple, y hay un muy buen servicio. También existe oportunidad de mantener limpio los alrededores del hotel, en algunas zonas rocosas hay basura, y considero que el hotel podria limpiar el poco sargaso que llega a haber.

The location was amazing! The rest not good. Only two places to eat. The buffet was small and limited options. The power went out on us one of the nights for 20-30 minutes. The hot water didn’t work the last morning I was there. I would not stay there again.

The hotel is very good and has everything we were looking for. But I want say that the service is excellent! We went to the restaurant Las Marias, for Mexican and Italian food for three nights and the servers, Tomas and Patricio are excellent, nice guys! We went with our two small children. Location was amazing and the beachfront was small but didn’t feel over crowded. We have been to isla before and knew we wanted to stay here due to no large waves on the beach. Especially for our small children. Beach service was slow due to not enough staff on site. The hotel itself was ok. Didn’t feel high end. We stayed in the villas. The rooms were small and didn’t even have anything special. Food was good but redundant. Felt fresh but not varied. I probably won’t stay here again. It was overpriced.

Location and food were great. Rooms were clean. Staff was nice and the owner was there during our visit looking at the facility. I think improvements are coming. Overall they cater to families and little kids. We felt safe and the fish were plentiful.

Loved the water! Beach is crowded and smells from the seaweed, it needs to be cleaned up daily. We stayed in the villas which smelled like sewer outside. One of the employees told us they don't need to have the best hotel because of the location.
