Check in was fast and easy. Rooms a bit tiny but clean and quiet. Reception told us there would be coffee, tea, and pastries in the morning. No pastries, so that was disappointing.
Very solid choice for travel and business downtown. Not spectacular, but convenient, clean, and well-managed. Typical urban rehab space: quirky room configurations, modest amenities but functional and safe. Partner restaurant and YMCA for workouts.
Will stay elsewhere next time...
Was dissatisfied with the room itself - had no exterior window but instead faced a service landing with a ladder that had a flood light on all night. Room set up was oddly with the sink for the bathroom being in the mail living area and we found various hairs on the floor / in the bed. Extremely loud neighbors that kept us up from about 1am - 5am, sounded like they were moving furniture / slamming doors.
Decided to take a solo trip back to San Francisco after 10 years to see what it was like and decided to stay at this property. The hotel is very close to the Embarcadero and can take a short walk to/from the Caltrain/Stadium and the BART station. However, they did not disclose that there was a deposit after paying for the hotel, which needs to be disclosed in the charges. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming though and respectful of guests arrivals. The room was lovely with the bathroom having C.O Bigelow Apothecary toiletries and a nice tea/coffee choice. When you leave in the morning, there is a light continental breakfast of croissants and fruits available.
My new go-to San Francisco hotel.
Lovely boutique hotel that captures the essence of San Francisco. Perfect location, extremely accommodating staff (Brandon especially), and the attached Perry's Embarcadero restaurant and bar has fantastic drinks and fabulous food. Pay a little extra for the bay view room, it's worth it!
