Pros:
- Very comfortable bed
- Fairly large room, especially for the value.
- Good location: actual Union Square, not the Tenderloin as many “Union Square” hotels advertise.
Cons:
Very dated in some ways:
- They are still using magnetic key cards. Right after I checked in, the first thing I did was put one card in my Apple Wallet, and the other in my pocket next to my phone, which immediately demagnetized them both. This would be one of 3 times I got locked out during my 4-day stay.
- The lighting seemed to be using original-generation CFL lightbulbs, so most (not all) of the room lights shone in a sickly blue color like a cheap motel (a personal peeve of mine).
Their policy is that housekeeping only comes every 2 days, so I had to my own work for garbage and general cleanliness.
